Things have gone very well so far at Magnolia Senior Living! My loved one has been in a few senior communities over the years, and this is the first one he's said he really likes! The staff here are very caring, and they take excellent care of my loved one! When I'm visiting him people pop their heads in constantly just to see how he is doing. I would highly recommend this place!

A small community, that actually does what they say they will do ! They are offer personal care with individual one on one mindset. My mom will go with me somewhere and tell me she is "ready to go back to Magnolia", now that in my book says it all.

My mom moved in during a transition of ownership and it seemed like the staff didn't always know the current state of the rules. For example, the pill cords don't work in the rooms although in the tour we were told about how most people rely on them instead of a pendant. Come to find out, the cords don't work and when my mom pulled one after a fall, nobody came to help her for about 2 hours. We got her a pendant after that.

The staff is very helpful and friendly as well. I do think they could use more of them, they are short handed but that seems to be the case everywhere you go now a days. I would recommend Magnolia Senior Living at Loganville to others.

The community itself is very clean but sometimes our loved ones apartment needs better house keeping - especially within the bathroom sometimes we have to remind them to help tidy it up. The care isn't quite what we thought - we do understand the turnover not only here but other places is crazy and nothing is the same after covid but we do have to stay on top of the time to make sure our loved one is getting the proper medication. When the food is delivered to our loved one it is pretty cold so right now it is just not meeting the expectations. We do think if they get more staffing things will really start to improve.

Magnolia Senior Living was a beautiful community. The grounds were very well-kept. It was clean and nice inside the facility. We chose another community based on our budget needs and we wanted a community that was closer to our home.

I had a nice tour of this community. Everyone was kind to my family, and I. From what I saw the community was well-kept, and everything looked nice. The staff I met was polite, and friendly. Everything went well overall, it just wasn't the one for my family.

This is a pleasant, cheerful community. My mother in law is doing well with her move here. We are satisfied with the care she is receiving. She is safe, and in great hands. The staff is great, they have been very helpful, and welcoming. There are lots of activities available for the residents. The meals are well balanced. This community is working out well for our family, and I would recommend it.

The manager at Magnolia has been wonderful. Mom is currently in hospice and they are doing all they can at this community to keep her here. The staff are attentive and understanding. The food seems ok, however she does not want to eat. The community is clean and well taken care of.

Overall our experience with Magnolia Senior Living has been a good one! There have been a few little quirks as my loved one has been getting used to the new setting, but overall we're very pleased with how things are going! It's a nice looking place, and the people seem very friendly.

The immediate staff is great, upper management has a lot left to be desired. First day they forgot to feed my parents and give my mom her meds, a month later my mom got the flue and it took them 3 days to get her medicine, I had to have hospice send her meds sent to the local Kroger and pick them up myself while upper management couldn’t assume responsibility and upper management called laughing about it. Upper management also talks badly about the hospice service provider. Their food is horrible. If a dementia patient says they don’t want their meds the just say ok and don’t give it to them, they don’t check blood sugar for diabetics. The good is the place is nice and clean and the caregivers on the ground level are caring and understanding.

Magnolia was my mom's choice for an assisted living facility. She had lived in one previously with my dad. After he passed, she moved closer to family and relocated to Magnolia so I have a frame of reference of what to expect. She's been there for a year and her health and well being have severely declined. I had to call the facility to ask them to check up in her once since she was not acting right. They checked her out and said she was fine. Later they found her unresponsive and had her taken to the hospital. The voicemail letting me know what happened was hard to understand and the person kept talking to other people in the background. Don't even think another calling to the main number since they rarely pick up. They also seem unable to handle medications and knowing when to give insulin and take blood sugar relative to when food is eaten. The food itself is awful and with my mom being diabetic there's really few options for her. They keep giving her cake and cookies and she has to remind them she can't have them. Then when her blood sugar is high they blame her for eating bad food. And to top it all off we got a letter letting us know that the owner was delinquent on his loan payment and to send all rent to a lien holder. I wish my mom would move, but she's stubborn and won't move. She plans to stay there until the end, which I really have a hard time accepting.

This place has gone through a lot of severe administration turnover in the last 3 months. So many have quit or gotten fired, it's just been crazy. They're on their 3rd executive director. There's supposed to be 2 activities directors and they are now down to one after losing 4 in the last 3 months. Activities have been basically coloring sheets and pass the balloon. It seems to be improving with the new activities director that's here now, so we'll see. The other staff is mostly nice, but very unorganized. I'm sure that's probably a result of the turnover going on. I heard from a couple of the staff, before they left, that there are legal troubles going on. Communication with the family has not been good. It took a couple of months to get them to start giving dad his medication, which is an issue. That's finally been resolved. Cleanliness is good. Overall, quality of care hasn't been good. My loved one's basic hygiene needs aren't even being met and we're looking at moving him. I would not recommend them to friends and family.

The facility is always clean. Things were ok until they opened a new facility and transferred a lot of the staff to that one, that seems to be when our problems began. The entire first new staff walked out about a month ago. The newest staff seems to be ok, but turnover rate is still high. It seems like the owner got overwhelmed with the new facility and stopped paying as much attention to this one. We have started to see him at the facility occasionally, so we're hoping that some of the problems that have developed will start to be fixed. There are very little activities other than bingo. Laundry has been reduced to once a week. They dropped the Braves channel. It seems most services have diminished, but cost has gone up. Residents are being forced to stay in their rooms more often (Covid and lack of staff). The cooks constantly quit. Food variety has decreased and things like condiments and snacks that used to always be available are missing. I'm having to spend about $75 to $100 every two weeks right now to supplement food/snacks. We really don't want to move our loved one. He is treated well and the place is clean, it's just not what it used to be. I know some of these issues can be attributed to Covid. Hopefully the problems get corrected. As far as recommending this facility, I'm kind of 50/50 right now.

It's clean and the staff is friendly, and they are very attentive. The food is terrible. The people in the kitchen are inexperienced, and I long for a fresh vegetable. I was looking for a place that was near my church, and they assured me that someone would be able to get me to church when I want to go. It just opened so they are still working some things out. There has been some staff turnover. They have suggestion box now.

They don't have enough staff for their Memory Care. Many of the residents need to be fed and there is not enough staff. The staff that they have are good and very caring. In Memory Care, housekeeping is lacking! The meals are good and good quality. Communication has gotten better over the past month. Right now, I would not recommend this facility to others.

Magnolia Assisted Living has all the amenities my loved one needs! She is a conservative person who enjoys classical music which is not offered as entertainment ! She enjoys walking in the courtyard daily and comments on how the grounds are beautifully kept! The staff has managed her medication well! They show her sincere affection in her home!
