Beautiful Home Away From Home

My mother has be living at Linda Manor since November, 2022 and has been very happy since her very first day. The building is beautifully decorated, bright, airy and above all, clean. The staff there have been very helpful to mom and us, her family. Mom feels loved by everyone there and is so grateful for they care they give her. I am comforted having Mom there in such a loving environment.

My father flourished here!!!

My father was reluctant to move here after his fall . He has flourished here he absolutely loves it!! The staff is amazing from the top down. They gently encouraged him to socialize and he’s now the mayor lol he loves everyone and everything about his living arrangements. I love the peaceful feeling knowing he’s happy and safe.

The staff is very nice and friendly, They also get to know the resident's and family members' names. The food is good and they are very accommodating and will make sure that the residents eat. The activities are great and they change it all the time. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience

a great place for a loved one

The people there are wonderful. They make this place what it is wonderful. The only issue is they do have a repetitive menu but the food was excellent. I would recommend this community to others.

A great place to live

The staff are very caring and very willing to help. They are willing to let me do whatever I can do for myself, but I appreciate that they there to help when I need it. My apartment is small but its good and I like it . I have a really nice view out my window. The food is great, I have gained weight since living her. I have never been to a facility that has food that is this good. Before the virus, we really did have some nice activities to attend.

Excellent Community

They were excellent there. I couldn't have asked for anything better for my father. The staff went out of their way for him. Even if he didn't want it, they still always checked in on him. The staff always keep in contact with me and depending on the urgency, through email and phone calls. The dining staff were wonderful as well.

We are pretty pleased with them so far.

It's very nice, and they have lots of activities. The activities are geared to the residents, they do like five short activities a day, so they are busy all day. They are friendly and attentive. We are pretty pleased with them so far.

Loving, competent care of my husband

My husband was cared for at Linda Manor for 10 1/2 months. He was a victim of a vascular dementia and when he could not longer stand, get up out of bed or chair, he needed to go where there were sufficient people and equipment to take care of him. The staff members were warm, competent, loving, and attended to my husband's every need. When one action did not work, they put their heads together and came up with something else to try. They knew he'd had a great sense of humor, and responded well to that, and also because of his love of music, they made sure he attended every music program in the building, no matter what unit it was on. The activity people took him to exercise group, because it maintained contact with people, even though he could not participate except to do some counting with the therapist. They treated residents with dignity, making sure residents were dressed every morning. My husband awakened later so the request the staff made to the kitchen was to bring his bkfst tray to the unit at 10 AM ( instead of just relegating him to toast and cheerios)..They also showed concern for our children and me and would ask how we were doing and what they could do for us. We all are so grateful that he was in a place that supported his happiness during the last months of his life.

It is a really good place, where people need help because the staff is very responsive

The cost is about the same compared to other communities in the area, but the most important part here is the staff, they are extremely friendly and supportive. They are quite responsive, and we have accidentally pulled the help button and they have showed up right so it is comforting to know if we ever have an emergency they will be here fairly quickly. The building itself is pretty and adequately meets our needs

A great place for mom

We chose this community because we thought the staff were very friendly and professional. We also liked the look of the place. The LEP program was for people with Alzheimer's and dementia. The room sizes were very good, plenty of room. She always said the food was very good. My favorite part about this community is that they seemed to really care about my mother in law. I would definitely recommend.

A safe place for dad

My father, who was quite picky with his living situation, did well at Day Brook. The staff was very welcoming and they took really good care of him. They showed much love to him and showed a lot of kindness. The community is quite nice and his apartment was beautiful. It turned out to be a really good place for him and worked out really well. The community was always clean and the laundry was also done correctly. The activities were good and they had a pretty good schedule of on and off-community options, although my father didn't often participate. Overall a good value for the price, however they could have offered two meals a day rather than one. They were also very accommodating with his hospice team, which we really appreciated.

Really great community!

Linda Manor Assisted Living is an impressive community. The staff are very pleasant and were helpful in addressing all of my concerns. This community is close to family which we really liked. It is kept extremely nice and was what we were looking for. It is too bad that I looked at this one to late into our search and we were already set on a different community.

Long, uncertain waiting list

If you went out to go on a walk you had to walk through a very Nursing home kind of environment, the other issue was, because they have independent living, assisted living, memory care and more of a skilled nursing facility, they basically have a waiting list to get in. I think they had a month long waiting list and they couldn't even tell us when they could take my mother in law into the memory unit because they take inside referrals first.
