I feel very comfortable having my mother in law here. She is well cared for and it is a place that I can trust my loved one being at. They have become a second family to her and it makes it even better. The value for the money is unbelievable.

The most excellent staff I have ever had any experience with. I have been involved in the care at various communities with both of my parents and now my husband. My husband is being cared for as if I were there 24-7! My husband just had an involved oral surgery while I was out of town for 3 weeks. The staff cared for him totally, including taking him for the surgery., waiting on him to get out of recovery, and completely following the doctors orders. He healed without any difficulties due to the diligent and compassionate care from the staff at Monarch House. Meals and Dinning. Very good food which my husband like a lot. They work with him on his diet for diabetes. There is always plenty to eat and they cater to the likes and dislikes of every person. Everyone gets to choose what they want to eat from a preprinted menu the day before. The activities are so fun and creative. The activities director is very encouraging, always trying to involve as many as she can. My husband is somewhat shy and she will go find him if she thinks he would enjoy a certain activity and bring him downstairs to the activities room. He always loves being there once he is with everyone. They also have entertainment come to Monarch house and sometimes take residents out to plays. My husband very much enjoys the children who are in school there on the second floor. They get together for music and for the residents to read stories to the kids. The integrative approach is amazing! They can also watch the kids play on the playground behind the building from big windows. The rooms are all studios but of varying sizes and prices. I have visited many other assisted living facilities that are similar prices and costing even much more. Monarch House has more staff than required by state rules, It is clean, bright, cheerful, caring and provides excellent care. They have a doctor who comes there and can care for your loved one if you desire. Plus there are no hidden extra care skill level costs. That is an excellent value and very comforting for me. I believe the owner and the very skilled manager are providing the best in quality care and services at prices that are very reasonable for assisted living anywhere I have found. I love it there so much that I have informed my family that when it is my turn to need more help please turn to Monarch House for my care.

My parents are just concerned with other residents saying how much the cost goes up every year. The food has definitely been an issue, in fact I contacted the Director of Dining and they scheduled a meeting with all of the residents to discuss the dining services. The director was recently terminated. The food has been somewhat better at certain meals. For the most part, they love their apartment and the other residents.
