Independent Living

Independent Living Communities offer seniors a handy balance between an opportunity to live an independent lifestyle and not having to worry about housekeeping. Meals, recreational activities andhousekeeping are taken care of for you while you are free to use your time as you desire. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but with none of the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies vary between communities, numerous residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to employ the services of private medical providers, they may always do so. There are an assortment of expenses and benefits to keep in mind when determining an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are included in the plan: laundry, Waiting list deposit, initial assessment fee, wellness program, cable TV, meals, housekeeping, and private phone. The conveniences that pertain to independent living include concierge services, golf course, laundry service, game/TV room, transportation, healthcare center, fitness center & swimming pool, and private rental hall.
