A great option for parent once unable to live at home alone. Beautiful, safe, clean and comfortable facility. Separate apartments for independence and privacy yet they are in one facility that offers a dining room, activity center, library, common sitting room areas , etc. Many activities offered for residents to enjoy and to socialize without having to leave the building. Staff truly care for the residents.
However, high caregiver turnover due to insufficient wages, inadequate training and understaffing. High safety concern for minimal staffing on evenings and nights. Costly to rent apartment + added cost based on “level of care”, which builds up quickly.

Wonderful & Caring Staff
Our parents found this place inadvertently before they were seriously looking for a senior living community. From the time they walked in, they knew it was their next home. Since moving in almost a year ago, the staff has been amazing. They’ve made them feel at home and part of their family. They also treat our family very well. Their apartment is perfect for them. Excellent find!

Excellent place for Dad
My father calls this place home! We are so pleased with the staff, the administrators, the cooks, and the restaurant's variety of meals. Relatives will tell you that our father is NOT easy to please, but he seems to be extremely content to be at Wynnfield. From the minute that he moved in, he quickly settled into a routine that fit his needs.

Elegant Care for My Parents
Living 4 hours away, it is so comforting to know that my parents are being taken care of.
The rooms and facilities are just beautiful! Who wouldn't want to live in such a place!
Everything is taken care of, there are a variety of meals and very good.
My parents really enjoy all the activities which include Bingo and Keno.

Wonderful Wynnfield
The staff are kind and take the time to really talk with my mother when she is having a "senior moment". They treat her as if she was their own family member. I'm always informed when she has had a fall or is just not acting right. The facility is clean, and the activities are great. I would recommend this place for any senior wanting to be waited on and treated like family.

They’ve thought of everything
This facility has everything you need or want in an assisted living facility. It is well equipped, well supported, and well maintained. Loving home
My parents live here and it is a very small personable community. There apartment is well kept and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately my Dad could not longer be cared for at an assisted livving facility so we had to move him. My mom still resides here and is doing well.

Feeling happy
My dad is safe and usually is happy with living at Wynnfield. I, however, am VERY happy he is safe and well taken care of!
The staff is exceptional and calls each resident by their first name. That is very impressive!!
I live 3 hours away from Rochester, so it's nice to know I don't have to worry as much, about him.

Excellent personal care for our parents. They “ try” to assist residents to the best of abilities. Most RAs are very personable & caring….
Meals are another matter. What they say is on the menu, or attempted to be made…. Is way off from what is served. It seems more qualified people could be found, or trained for kitchen staff.

Wynnfield Crossing A great place to live
My Aunt who worked at Wynnfield Crossing for 17 years really wanted to move there when she could no longer live alone. It is a wonderful place and the staff is excellent. They really care about the residents and it shows. There are always things to do to keep the residents active if they want to mingle. I have recommended Wynnfield often since I have seen first hand how it is. I am sure some day I will end up living there myself.

You are not just a number
I would like to recommend Wynnfield Crossing as an ideal place for the elderly to find comfort and friends. Nothing can replace the home you've loved for a lifetime. But when all the little tasks that it takes to make a house a home becomes an effort, assisted living answers many of the problems. Wynnfield Crossing is not so big that you become a number. it is like one big family. You soon know everyone's name and everyone knows yours. At the same time you can have as much privacy as you want. I have always been an independent individual and it was difficult for me to accept the fact that I'm not able to do everything for myself. But I have adjusted and the staff and executives have always been there to give me help when I've needed help. I'm truly honored to recommend Wynnfield Crossing.

our families experience
The staff members stood out to us right away, they have been nothing but friendly and helpful from the beginning. On Monday's everybody gets together to sing songs and they have a piano man that comes in to play. Our loved one used to be a woodcarver so they are trying to set up a day where he can show case all of the different woodcarvings he has created and talk about them. On Tuesday's they have social hours. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend them to other families.

Mom's Care
MY mother has been here for over a year and has blended into the community so well. The staff have welcomed her in with open arms and have made her feel at home. She is encouraged to participate in the activities and has done more here, than her previous home. The staff are very caring and you can see the compassion they have for the residents that live here. They are always willing to help and go above and beyond to provide a safe and happy place to live.

Caring People
The people at Wynnfield Crossing are the most important reason for this review. They are all so caring and respectful of the residents, as if the people living there are their own relatives. [names removed] are wonderful, but there are many others from the servers in the dining room to the resident assistants who are so caring, friendly and warm. My Mom loves every single one of them. Besides the people, the apartments are warm and inviting; the food is good and the activities are fun. My Mom is very happy that she moved to Wynnfield and so am I.

Our Dad will be 90 this summer. He has found Wynnfield Crossing to meet his needs. The people are caring & supportive. The food he reports as excellent.
