About the community Windsong at Southridge

WindSong at Southridge is a Memory Care Community located in beautiful Kennewick, Washington. We have adopted the Montessori Inspired Lifestyle® as our signature method for delivering exceptionally high quality of life for our residents. This program focuses on activities and everyday interactions as a means to reconnect persons with dementia to the outside world. The goal is to create an environment that supports independence and functioning at the highest possible level. This is done through group activities that residents plan, create and implement. This is also done through individual self-care activities. We provide the residents with the opportunity to actively participate in what happens in their own lives.

It is often assumed that a person with a dementia diagnosis is unable to have new experiences, maintain relationships, or to care for themselves at all. This is simply untrue. They have been told that they “can’t” and have been defined by their limitations. The staff at WindSong at Southridge works to defy these misconceptions by enabling their residents rather than further disabling them. They consider what the individual “can” do, and then provide them the opportunity to do it. When an individual with dementia is able to actively participate in...

My review of Windsong at Southridge

We were able to tour this facility in person and we absolutely loved it. Our loved one would be there now if it was not so expensive. Communication was great, there were not grey areas. They were upfront and honest, and all the rooms were all the same size. They have different levels of care, and they truly think of the residents like family, they have them involved all the time.

Montessori System is Good

It is a good place right now. They only have 10 residents. They are still working out the kinks for the new community.
