Wesleyan Meadows is a lovely place to live. Trees and flowers abound between the welcoming patio homes. Our home is comfortable and easy to keep up. All repairs and upkeep are done by the maintenance crews. Garbage picked up weekly. Live trouble free. The residents are very welcoming and friendly. Everyone waves as you walk or drive though the community. Walking paths surround two of the three small lakes on the grounds. The roads are bike friendly. Many activities are available for those who wish to participate. Some examples: art classes, card games, ping pong, mahjong, and exercise classes. Lastly, I feel the community is very safe. I walk my dog at 11 pm and feel perfectly safe. There is no history of break ins or porch pirates. I highly recommend Wesleyan Meadows for those looking for independent living.... Read more

Moving to Wesleyan Meadows was the biggest decision we have made in our 63 years of marriage. We lived our home in Elyria but we were finding that the necessary responsibilities were becoming difficult for us. So after a year of looking at retirement centers, small homes, and other options, we chose the Meadows. We had the opportunity to choose from different floor plans and since we were accustomed to a fairly large kitchen, we chose a home that had just the right plan for us. We also love the views we have from our windows as we look out at a large green space behind our home and one beside us too. Although we have attached neighbors, we have a nice big yard behind and beside us. Probably the best part of living at the Meadows is the friendliness of the people and the many activities offered. Residents do not have to participate but it has been great to meet folks who share interests and have found living here as comfortable as we have. We feel that we have provided our children with the security of knowing that we will be cared for as we need assistance. We are assured that we will be provided a place at the Village if and when that need occurs. We feel that we made the right decision in finding a home that provides our needs and gives us comfort and security. It is a great place to live.

After living in our home 49 years, raising two sons, seeing neighbors occasionally, we thought we had a great life, and we would live in that home “forever.” Then we realized we no longer wanted to deal with homeownership – maintenance, landscaping, mowing, snow removal, stairs to the basement, and lots more. Before we could even begin to think about what to do next, we received a postcard in the mail inviting us to a program at Wesleyan Meadows, a retirement community we knew nothing about. The next day, we called to arrange a meeting with the marketing director. Over the next month, we met with her several times, getting more and more acquainted with how the Meadows could fit our needs. We liked the idea of a continuum of care – our sons live out-of-state, and would never have to make decisions about where we would go when our lives became less independent. We chose a Meadows home and then chose new things they provided, including paint, flooring and small modifications. Our old home sold quickly and we moved! It has now been six months, and we have found so much to love about the Meadows; most importantly, the very friendly, welcoming people who live here. There are many varied activities available, if that appeals to you. This home is open and spacious, backing up to a pond – what a bonus! We truly love this life and feel blessed to have found this place to live. We are happy!
