So often we hear our residents say the wished they would have made the move sooner because residents who make the move while they are still healthy tend to retain, or even improve their health while living in an independent retirement community like Walnut Grove Retirement. Socialization, security, and peace of mind are important benefits that we provide to our residents. Socializing not only contributes to a longer, happier life, but it also improves cognitive performance. Of course, we all want to live longer while remaining healthy and alert. • A Nice Place

It is a decent place. They try to cooperate and do things for the residents. The food is good. Room sizes are good, the layout of the community is good. They have outdoor space. They have garages for residents. They have a bus to go to doctors' appointments and shopping.

  • Great Location

The food is not good. We have a new chef, things started off good but not really that good now. It has really changed in the last few years. They are taking folks with higher care needs. This is an Independent community and it feels more like Assisted Living. I like the staff. I like the layout.I have a deck on my unit. The location is wonderful, close to everything.

  • A First Class Establishment

I cannot say enough about what a sensational job [Removed] are doing at Walnut Grove. They are caring, professional, and excellent communicators. My loved one's dementia was unfortunately worsened when we had to move her from her home, but [Removed] went above and beyond the call of duty seeing to it that she was safe. She was so good at assisting us in moving my loved one out of her house. Walnut Grove was head and shoulders above the other communities we toured, and I would enthusiastically recommend the community to anyone. It is a first class establishment.
