Do not rent here no matter what your first impression is. The management is corrupt and underhanded. Not only the local management but regional management as well=BAD NEWS. Owned and run by foreign nationals who don't care one bit about American values or laws. They are liars and cheats. They have a captive audience on the property of good elderly folks who are without financial resources and management takes advantage of them. The residents are afraid to speak up or to fight back for fear of being evicted. The rent is cheap but the price you will pay is extreme.

Very disappointed. Do not care about smoker rights even though a supposed non-smoking facility. Over water to the point of mosquito issues, but still nothing done after resident complaints. Ownership does not care! Have torn up, filthy carpets not changed in 10+ years. Not one person I have spoken to during my weekly visits has anything positive to say about Vintage Crest. I am presently looking for a different place for my mother.

Nice, but tiny apartments. Non-smoking policy on property is not enforced well. Management very weak on this. Management also tricky with fees for cleaning then not shampooing carpet you've paid for to move out. They will also remove a perfectly good screen door then charge you $185 to put it back again. Tricky...although pleasant. Photograph everything the way it is before you move in.

Director was gracious and helpful, and showed us the clubhouse, it'slaundry, mail room, etc. This place has homey, small clusters of apartments where each person has his/her own outside entrance, own doorbell, tiny patio or balcony. No elevators to second floors. No food available if one become unable to cook. For active seniors only. Counters and cabinets and flooring not high end, but adequate. Setting is charming and quiet. Well maintained. 100% occupied. Laundy Hopkins for stackables avail in every unit, though some use their closets for storage and do laundry in the clubhouse. The place is gated; feels safe. We were shown two units by a couple of very nice ladies, both of whom lived in two-bed, one-bath apartments. Both were on the ground floor and seemed small to me, but was told they were bigger and with more light inside than Vintage Paseo on Simi Valley. The kitchens weren't big enough to hold a table and chairs and still be able to walk around easily in the kitchen without feeling crowded. The three ladies we spoke to loved living there. I submitted an application, but realize, in hindsight that I like Heritage Estates a lot better. (Much better kitchens, though no in-apartment laundries.) Vintage had paid water, sewer and trash, and tenant pays gas, elec, cable, internet and phone.
