So far so good. My mom is definitely being well fed and well taken care of. When I go visit her she definitely seems to be in better shape than she was before so we'll be sticking with them for now. It's still pretty early but it's good. It's definitely clean in there and they've been really friendly. They speak my mom's language, Armenian, which is great.... Read more

I do not recommend this facility at all if you are seeking care for a Dementia/Alzheimer patient. This is a house for people seeking assisted living only. If your parent can walk and talk and feed themselves and do not need assistance in taking a shower or going to the bathroom or can dressing themselves, this is your place. The description of this house is VERY inaccurate. The pictures that are on display for this house are NOT accurate. They may be an array of pictures of the 3 homes that are under this management. There is no activities or functions at all for the patients, let alone for anyone with memory care needs. They will be fed and can watch TV. The caretakers at this establishment are not trained CNA's. I was told it is not necessary due to this being an assisted living home. The caretakers, Sada and Karina are very nice and do love their patients but they speak little English and have no background in caring for the elderly. I believe the women are not trained in the simplest of tasks of helping someone in and out of a chair. These women are over worked. At times during the duration of my family member living at this home, there were 6-7 patients. They had little time to explain to me when I would ask about my parents status. (UTI, bruises and cuts) When trying to speak to the upper management, they too had little time for me. I would constantly be leaving phone messages but would never get a return call. Please reconsider if you are looking for a place for your love one.

First off I would like to say that these pictures are for staging purposes only, the Vine Valley home that I saw was no where near what they are showing here on Yelp! Let me also say that the care given by [names removed] was good, they are not licensed care givers and have not been educated in how to lift and care for the geriatric community! Although both women were lovely and took care of the client I came to visit had no knowledge of geriatric care. The owners [names removed] also had no knowledge of geriatric care or dietary needs. At no time during any of my visits were there any activities going on, no exercising , no crafts, no outings, nothing. That was because there was only one care giver there at any given time. There also was no music playing unless I brought it in only tv playing! It is a well proven fact that anyone suffering from dementia/Alzheimer's needs stimulation from activities such as games and exercise, daily walks and reading periodicals and newspapers helps to keep the brain active along with a health diet of omega 3 fats, none of which were present in either of the homes they have. There was never anymore than one caregiver tending to 6-8 patients which meant the caregivers were over worked, nor did I see them wear hair net or gloves when they cooked. Nor did they display a food handlers certificate to show they were properly trained in food prep. I had been to visit my friend anywhere from 50-60 times during the course of a year and only met [names removed] never! [name removed] took it upon himself to write a nasty letter about me and had never met me, I thought I had offended [names removed] and when I showed them the letter they were shocked and said they had nothing to do with it. If I had to find a place for my parent it would not be here, this is not quality of life,it's warehousing.

Do not go to this facility unless you want your family member set in a corner. This facility does not have any of the services listed and are certainly unfriendly to family member or other visitors. Their advertisement states: "This facility is where residents receive one-to-one nursing care for an array of health issues." There was never a time where a certified nurse was one to one with my family member. There was never more than one person, at the facility caring for 6-8 patients. They were overworked, untrained to even the simple task of lifting a patient out of a chair, spoke no English and barely understood English. They claim to accept "adults of any age who need skilled nursing care on a consistent basis." Again not true, hospice must be sent in thru medicare to assist the staff with baths, feeding and nursing, because again the employees altho nice people have no training in health care or trained in dementia care. "Vine Valley prides itself on a warm, familial atmosphere that caters to each resident's individual need. Medical services include skilled nursing, medication management, nutrition guidance, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, laundry, bathing assistance, and transportation to doctor's appointments, recreational activities, and personal errands." This is also false, a menu with nutritional values is not posted and food served was sometimes sliced hot dogs and scrambled eggs served with diet pepsi. After a year of no physical exercise, no cognitive stimulation, unrecognizable food, no glasses this family member cannot walk, talk, or feed themselves. "Each home is beautifully decorated and designed with the needs of seniors in mind where your parent will receive the utmost care and attention." Altho the facility's appearance was clean and beautifully decorated there was no evidence of a patient having their own space for any period of time. My family member was moved within the facility a minimum of four times which can be harmful to a patient with dementia. My family member fell 4 times without a report to hospice care or with any concern. Most of the time the caregivers couldn't or wouldn't give information of their welfare. Which can be very concerning to the family. Lastly, a move to this facility was based on price and on their claim to provide dementia care. This facility is unequipped to do anything other than babysit. There are none of the listed services available, -Complimentary Transportation ( extra fee) -Beautician Onsite (Licensed beautician not avail) -Activities Onsite (You can watch TV) -Private Bath (community bath) These services only upon request for an extra fee, they make it sound like it is a regular scheduled service: Visiting Occupational Therapist Visiting Podiatrist Visiting Speech Therapist Doctor on Call Nurses on Staff Visiting Physical Therapist Visiting Nurse Visiting Dentist My family member has been removed and will receive trained and more consistent loving care elsewhere. Contact me with any questions.

They were really easy to work with and I was in a really bad time crunch and they helped out with that and got her in quickly. They were a little slow getting her ac fixed, took about a week, but they got her a portable one, so that was nice. There are just some problems with some other residents who are a little aggressive with the staff, it can be frightening. The food isn't great either.
