I like everything about living at Treemont. It's clean and orderly, and the service is good. The staff is nice, and the food service is well organized and serves healthy meals. The owners are very accommodating about residents' food preferences. We're close to Memorial City Mall and the emergency room at Memorial Hermann hospital. Are you ready to say goodbye to the old-fashioned burdens and hassles of maintaining a home? At Treemont Retirement Community, we help seniors remain independent by providing residents with a safe environment, flexibility, and a maintenance-free lifestyle. Our campus is truly unique, which allows us to customize care levels to fit diverse needs. At Treemont, there are many different living options. We offer independent living, independence plus with home care in one’s apartment, assisted living, and skilled nursing and rehabilitation in our health care center. We’ve got everything you need in one convenient place.
Our Treemont resident counselors discuss each care option and the respective benefits before a transition is made, so seniors can make the most informed choice. As the first Continuing of Care Retirement Community (CCRC) of its kind in Houston, we’re a unique CCRC offering a monthly rental option instead of a “buy-in” requiring thousands of dollars. You can move into Treemont with a modest community fee that includes three meals a day, housekeeping, transportation to doctor’s appointments, activities, and utilities (except your phone and cable).
Treemont also provides residents’ families with peace of mind in knowing their parents have the extra support and tools needed to stay...

I am allergic to cinnamon, resulting in anaphylactic shock. I am currently recovering from the croup resulting from being exposed to anatomized cinnamon from the preparation of meals in the centers dinning room. This is the third time this week ( Tuesday Lunch) that I have walked in and to be surprised by the anatomized cinnamon. I am diabetic and am unable to order a low carbohydrate meal. The chef adds sugar, salt and flour thickeners to everything he prepares. The above picture is the meal brought out to me in the lobby. Definitely not low carb and no utensils. I was almost off of glimapride a medication to assist in managing my glucose. I was taking 1/2 a tablet at night. Now I am taking 2 tablets and my glucose is climbing. Don't get me started on the inability to get transportation to my Therapy.

Community was great! Place is rundown and needs better outdoor maintenance! I personally cleaned one of the public courtyard areas.. clear to see that no one was checking on old lawn furniture piled leaves etc... Too bad the place was in need of better maintenance. Cafeteria staff and food decent. The location was good as far as proximity to dining, grocery stores, shopping, etc.. but Westheimer is a very busy street and not really safe these days. Better maintenance, and full time security / more importance on barriers between facility and Westheimer would be a tremendous improvement..

My is thrilled to be living at Treemont. She is 94, has low vision and is hard of hearing. She has been a resident of your facility for nearly 10 months now. In the 10 months she has been living there she has met so many new people and tells me repeatedly she has NEVER missed her other home. She had been in her other home for over 50 years, so for her to say she doesn’t miss it astounds me. She is sharp mentally. You all have provided a very comfortable, clean and affordable, and safe environment. She enjoys the meals and loves taking walks in the safety of the grounds or through out the hallways. She chose Treemont over any-other place I looked at because she had visited her friends while they were living there. She said it was comfortable and familiar. Knowing her needs are well taken care of and she feels safe, gives me peace of mind. . Thank you again for your highest of standards making Treemont a great place to live.

My sister located this place and we were all pleased with her decision for our mother to live at treemont. She is now 100 years old and has been here since 2006. She is still very happy to be part of this wonderful community. She enjoys the activities and all that Treemont offers.

I have lived here since 2006. It was one of the best decisions to move here. The employees are great, friendly and helpful. THe service they provide has been good. They try to please everyone by serving different foods in the dinning room.

January 5, 2022Thanks for acknowledging our long-tenured caring staff. We believe that is one of Treemont's strengths. Glad you are enjoying the food and dining experience at Treemont too!
Treemont is a great place to live in retirement. Plenty of activities to keep me busy. The only one problem I have is with a noisy neighbor who lives in the apt above mine; but I can live with it. Everything else is teriffic. Staff are all wonderful and nice.

January 6, 2022Glad you are enjoying the activities. Rose does a terrific job with our activity program and our residents find new friendships late in life. Thank you for acknowledging our caring staff. They make residents quickly feel like Treemont is home.
When I first came to Treemont to check things out, it left me with an impression. There were lots of people in the lobby, all talking and happy. Everyone was friendly, many having lived here for lots of years. So I moved here and still living at Treemont today. That first impression? It was in March of 2010. Time Flies! Wow!

January 6, 2022Jeffery, so glad you love Treemont, thank you! We love you back!
Treemont has a lot to offer and does so at a reasonable price. The grounds are lovely with many old oak trees, flowers and places to sit and enjoy them. Many of the staff have worked here for a long time and remember caring for older members of the families of people moving into Treemont now. After some quiet months, due to the pandemic, we are once again enjoying lots of activities, trips and parties. We have three meals each day and a committee is working to make some changes in the menu. I feel very fortunate to live here and have many new friends.

January 6, 2022Andy, so glad your parents are happily settled at Treemont. They were reluctant to move during covid, but are delighted they are so happily enjoying a more active social life. They are inspiring many more residents to join their Rummikube circle. Your parents are delightful!
I enjoyed meeting with [name removed] but the property does not have what I [name removed] looking for but the food was good and the staff was friendly.

Response from Treemont Senior Living Community
June 18, 2021We appreciate you touring Treemont. Thanks for the nice comment on the friendly staff and our food. Sorry we weren't the best fit for you and hope you find a great community that works for you! All the best.
As much as I loved the location the small size of the units was a negative. A friend had described it to me as a dark place and I realized that was due to all the large old trees on the property. Generally it looked like everything needed some sprucing and brightening up. Perhaps they should reconfigure and join some of the small units into one larger unit. Our tour with Linda was quite instructive. The employees encountered were very friendly. Also liked that residents could have bird feeders.

June 18, 2021Thanks for touring Treemont and providing your perspective. We have cozy apartments as our residents spend lots of time socializing in our common area alcoves. Great suggestion to combine units. We have done so with some, and would be happy to have you return to view a larger combined apartment. We love our large pine trees on campus and will look at trimming them back a bit. We have also spruced up our lobby and auditorium. You are welcome to return. Thanks for the feedback on Linda, we think she is terrific. We wish you the best in your senior living search!
Impressive facilities and [name removed] is great. The only down side is that during the visit, the residents did not seem to be very actively participating in the activities, which made my mother feel as if everyone was maybe too old for her. (And she's 88!) Will plan for a follow-up visit to check out the social aspects again.

June 18, 2021Thanks for your review. We hope you will return as Treemont's activity program was less active during covid and, with residents and staff now vaccinated, are open to many more engaging programs. Come visit us again with your mom!
Do not go there, their elevators are consistently breaking. The manager seems very overwhelmed. They are having issues with bugs at the facility. I would not recommend this community to others.
