Homey and feels good

The staff at this facility genuinely seem to care. It is a small enough place that if we ask them to do something for our mom, they seem to get it done. Our mom was losing weight at the last facility, but now she is maintaining her weight which is a plus. We chose this facility because they had an opening, they were willing to allow her cat, and it is a secure facility which our mom needed for safety and necessity. It just feels homey and we really feel good about the place.... Read more

Memory Care

If you are in need of 24/7 care for a loved one, you may want to check out Traditions of La Crescent. Our mother, who has Alzheimers is there and we find the staff at Traditions to be understanding and caring. Our mom is liking the meals and the many activities that they provide; such as coloring, doing her nails, exercising, playing games, etc.. They usually have musical groups come in; however, during the corona virus situation, that has been stopped for the time being. She has her own room which has her full size bed and two dressers, her rocking chair and two conversational chairs with plenty of room to spare. She also has her own bathroom. We are very pleased with their handling of circumstances during this difficult time of the corona virus. We can call there and they will take the phone to our mom or set up a face chat with her. Our thanks to all staff at Traditions for your kind and beautiful hearts.

Very satisfied with the care that my family member receives. It is a small facility, so there is less confusion for those with memory issues and makes it easier for staff to know the people in their care. They are constantly trying to find ways of improving and are happy to have reasonable input.
