<p>Highly skilled caregivers are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week providing assisted living services — which include medication management, personal care, and assistance with daily living activities. For additional convenience, physical and occupational therapy is offered on-site, and local physicians are encouraged to visit the community regularly.</p>
<p>Learn different skills, explore budding interests, or rediscover past hobbies through The Waterford’s robust calendar. Every month, new activities and events are added to the schedule, providing you with plenty of engaging opportunities. <p>There are currently seven spacious studio and one-bedroom floor plans for residents to choose from. All apartments include a charming kitchenette, large closets, individually controlled heating and air conditioning, and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom complete with grab bars and an emergency response system.</p>
<p>Short-term and respite stay options are available for families who need help caring for their senior loved ones. All guests have access to their own private apartment and all of the community’s amenities, services, and activities.</p>

<h3>Care Types Offered</h3>
<p>The Waterford at Corpus Christi is a <em>Type B assisted living facility</em>. In the state of Texas, these terms are defined as follows:</p>
<h3>Assisted Living Facility</h3>
<p>A facility that provides personal care services and administration of medication to 4 or more residents. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s. There are 3 types of assisted living facilities:</p>
<p></p><dl><dt>Type A:</dt><dd>A facility that may provide room and board to residents who are physically and mentally capable of evacuating the facility unassisted.</dd><br>
<dt>Type B:</dt><dd>A facility that may provide room and board to residents who need assistance evacuating, are incapable of following directions under emergency conditions, require staff attendance during nighttime sleeping hours, and require assistance transferring to and from a wheelchair.</dd><br>
<dt>Type C (Adult Foster Care):</dt><dd>Four-bed facilities that meet the minimum standards and rules for enrollment in the Department of Aging and Disability Services’ Adult Foster Care home program. The facility provides supervision and personal care services to residents.</dd></dl><p></p>
