About the community

The Waterford first opened their doors in 1982. Life Care at The Waterford protects you and your estate against many of health care's rising costs. Once you're approved for Life Care, you can look forward to predictable monthly expenses. Our health center proudly received the Bronze National Quality award.

The Waterford has created a culture of growth that stimulates and strengthens residents’ sense of physical, social and intellectual well-being, helping them continue to grow and become the best they can be. Our community has embraced Masterpiece Living which is unique in placing emphasis on many dimensions of wellness, rather than on just one. It doesn’t tell residents how to live. Instead, it takes research-based findings and works with residents to develop a road map for getting the most from what they are or want to be doing with their lives. Masterpiece Living is
revolutionizing community life for seniors, and Lifespace communities like The Waterford
offer a life-changing path to aging successfully.

People (staff and residents) are warm and friendly, food is good, apartment is lovely. and there are many activities available. Entrance procedure was made clear and was relatively easy. Everyone was helpful in completing my application and move in.

The Waterford / Lifespace

On the whole the Waterford delivers on its contractual obligations which are sufficient to make the everyday life of octogenarians reasonably comfortable if followed. it is worth mentioning the poor dinning facilities which are staffed by mostly untrained servers some even displaying outrigh rude, unfriendly and menacing behavior which Managemen assumes as an acceptable norm.

Large Entrance Fee

I think that where my mother is is nicer, but I haven't walked around that much. I have been there a few times. He only gets one meal a day, and my mother gets two, which is nice. He payed a 130,000 entrance fee to get in there, and he still has to pay rent each month. They have a hospital there, like a nursing home, and my aunt was kind of sickly. With that fee, they were guaranteed a place there no matter what happens. He has been there ten years.
