Make sure all the staff folks knows what's going on, follow up on them because they do not communicate with each other very well, the administration staff doesn't follow up on complaints, the medical treatment takes 3-4 times longer than a visit to a doctor. A doctor and Psychiatrist may be on staff but are not readily available to see residents. A psychiatrist is not the same as a psychologist available to help residents cope with their new environment. A psychiatrist is not necessary unless you want your loved one to have new drugs to cope with their new environment. Which is not a good thing. Aides don't always follow instructions concerning a residents needs or abilities. It couldn't have been a better experience all around! There is no better choice! The care from both caregivers was loving and caring. My Mom rarely waited for help. The food was very good! The entire home was always shining clean. If someone wet the bed, they were changed and cleaned immediately in a loving way. They do have housekeeping and It is very clean and well maintained. Lots of activities but unfortunately my mother is not being very social but they keep trying to get her to participate.
