My 92 yr. old dad is currently at the Pines. After 2-week stay in the hospital. I want to commend [name removed] and his staff of the care that my dad is receiving. I didn’t have an appointment to visit and his staff graciously gave me a tote. and I simply love this facility. I’ve seen an improvement in my dad’s care in less than a week. My dad has medical concerns and the nursing staff is attentive to his needs and to our family. Special thank you to the [name removed] who took the time to speak with us and guide us and offer suggestions. It brings so much comfort and ease to know that your loved one is being cared for and treated by the Pines staff as one of their family members. If a could give this facility a “10” star I would!!! God Bless you and your staff [name removed]!!!

Poor care
I had my mom in here for PT ..i felt like they kept her drugged up on sleeping meds ..they never asked if she wanted to go to the dining room to eat they just gave her the food in her room. Now the social worker was a real joke never had I had to deal with a someone like her. I asked for help to get my mom Medicaid and she told me that wasn't her job.. what is her job then. Some of the nurses were great and others were just there for a pay check. They never once called me to tell me what is going on with my mom .i had to do all the leg work..never again with that place ..if u plan on putting Some one in there for PT keep on top of them or you or your loved one will be just laying there ..good luck there

I was a patient for 13 days. I received very good treatment from your medical and rehabilitation personnel. The nurses were caring and responsive to my needs and very helpful. The occupational and physical therapists did a great job and were always professional and truly interest in my improvement. The food department was superb!

The staff here is highly professional and really worked to help me recover from my Lyme disease. I suffered from major nerve damage which stopped me from walking and it was really hard to use my hands. The occupational therapist worked to strengthened my arms and fingers. The physical therapist took his own time to research my disease and came up with a plan to strengthen my legs. They made sure I was always watched to ensure my safety performing all my exercises. The therapists are incredibly professional, courteous, caring and compassionate. Because of them, the mobility of my arms and fingers is greatly improved and I am able to use a walker to walk .

Hell on earth!
The Angela Jane Pavilion may have a nice looking rehab center & clean looking facility. But as the saying goes, Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This is a typical nursing home. The in-house living care in this place is a JOKE! The aids, nurses (read: LPNs, the RNs have very little to no patient interactions!) and very few RNs are actually staffed, doctors (read: doctors who treat based on a patient’s chart, rather than walking room to room and physically looking at the patient) and the rest of the staff are very rude. Long patient waiting times when call bells are rung, do to short staffing. The 11pm-7am staff is extremely rude when a patient asks for help. How do I know this, I had to spend every night with my mother while she was there for 4 weeks. The staff will be all smiles and friendly when family is present. Once family leaves the staff changes their tune. DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT send a loved one here!

Mixed Experience
My mom has been her twice after hospital stays. The first time was a very positive experience. They did a phenomenal job. The second time, I thought that they tried to discharge her before she was quite ready, and I wasn't happy about that. The stays were a year apart, so they might have changed management in that time.

about The Pines at Philadelphia

A Place for Mom has scored The Pines at Philadelphia 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
