When it comes to the cleanliness it is clean but right now they are dealing with cocktail roaches. The friendliness of the staff members gets a 5+++ everyone is very friendly. The quality of care is much better then moms previous LTC facility. We cannot rate the meals and dining because we are not sure they have experienced the meals yet. The Administrative staff are very responsive however the nursing staff seem to be in a power struggle with each other and the residents. Many (not all) are not patient and do not listen to the needs of the residents. They tend to treat them all the same although their physical and cognition needs vary. Compared to other communities in the area, for the value it is clean and the rooms are decent sized. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend them to other families, howeverthey would need to be actively involved in the care of their family member to hold staff accountable.

We went with The Meadows Senior Living because the size of the facility was smaller and the location of the apartment available, ( first floor vs 2nd floor), and costs. The staff have been responsive when I have questions or concerns. During the COVID pandemic, they had great safety protocols in place.

Our family had a very lovely and wonderful time during our tour with The Meadows Senior Living. Staff seemed very nice and polite as did office team, front desk and director. Grounds were very nice and rooms were open and clean.
I would tell a friend that The Meadows is a great location, helpful staff, safe and reliable place for aging parents in a peaceful environment.

June 21, 2022Good morning Edward, thank you for taking the time to write this review! Sincerely - Jordan, Culture of Care Team
A caring, attentive staff makes living at the meadows a generally pleasant experience. There are a few residents with "interesting" personalities, but that is true in any community. Various activities are available daily. Wholesome food choices.

January 6, 2022Hello Wayne, thank you for sharing your experience with us!
I moved in about 2 1/2 years ago. The staff have been very attentive to my needs. Several time I've needed medication and the transportation teams have been very good.

Not as convenient for pets. The distance from family was too far. It was a good choice. The management was super kind and helpful.
Pros: nice staff. Cons: dated decor, blah rooms, no outdoor access from room, must eat in dining room, felt like an old folks home.

In general, it's really nice and clean. I feel that it is important to really be an advocate for your loved in assisted living and part of the care team . I am more involved than I expected to be in my father's care. I would like to see them be a little more proactive in the details but It's awesome care. Every time I have eaten there the food has been awesome, and the staff are really nice. I chose this community because of location and proximity to me so I could be there in the same town to support my dad. There is a lot if continuity with the staff. They know me and they are always accommodating.

My mother is living in the memory care unit. Love, love, love the people that work there. All of them. No complaints at all. I do however notice that, in my opinion, they don't care for the outside as well in the back portion as well as they do in the front where people come to see it as a first impression. Their Atrium is the same, no one cares for it. other than that, the place is clean and always smells fine. I have been in other places where it didn't smell very good. Clean is very important to me. Nice and clean.

My mother has been here for two years and after the first year she's been in hospice here and inconsistent. She complains about the food often as do her old dinning table friends. As for her room it's untidy and unorganized often. Her telephone and tv remote has been found in inconspicuous places to often and she is bed ridden. Her washed clothes, bedding, and towels placed in various locations.Every time I visit I find that I can organize something not in lace and floors a bit dirtier than I'd like.Lately it's been improving somewhat but gas been runned inconsistent through 2018.Now that I report here I will monitor the conditions and soon to speak up more often.

All of these reviews are pretty old. My mom is there and I have a very different opinion of the food, and cleanliness of the shared spaces, I hear nothing good from the “residents”about the food. Not good. Very carbohydrate loaded. Cheap way to fill them up. I will be trying to contact the corporate office but doubt that it will matter.

My mom is adapting to the community and she has calmed down. We see it is the best place for her. The people working her are nice but there are some small things they need to work on. My mom has made some friends. She is eating good meals and doing wonderful in comparison to before the community.

The assisted living section was very nice, but I wasn't too impressed with the memory care area. I think my Dad still has too much going on to be in that area.

A nice place to call home. I especially liked the cute Bistro area. Plenty of activities available. Clean, but perhaps a few areas could use updating or minor maintenance. The popcorn smelled really inviting! Thank you, [Removed], for the tour and for helping me to further my knowledge of assisted living options.

A Place for Mom has scored The Meadows Senior Living 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
