The place is older but clean. The food is pretty darn good. There are always activities throughout the day as well as movies, ice cream socials and when it's warm, hot dogs and burgers in the courtyard. Happy Hour, too! Both the administrative and attending staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They seem to want the residents to be healthy and happy. They encourage visiting by family and friends. There is a pool, as well. Not many facilities have that! As far as cost, I did my research, and the Lexington is a comparable value to what is out there. They really worked with us to make sure my dad and stepmom had the accommodations that they would be happy with. The medical staff seems competent, and they are in contact with me about everything that may occur, from toenails needing clipping to a fall. I feel comfortable with my loved ones living there.... Don’t take your loved ones here

My stepmom went without medication for over 24 hours, hasn’t been bathed in a week and has been manhandled by staff. The management is not professional and they don’t care about the residents. Moved her in a week ago and have already made arrangements to move her. As an aside, the food is served cold and is not nutritious.

If You Want Decent Food, Don't Come Here

The food is horrible. My loved one hates food available. The food is cold and the coffee is cold. Each day the community offers a hamburger or a peanut butter and jelly sandwich to the residents. There needs to be more variety for the residents to choose from for meals and better nutrition. The community has a new general manager, so I'm hopeful the food will improve as well. The community is taking care of my loved one.

Our experience with The Lexington

The administrative staff here was amazing, I was a huge fan of them and they are great with communication. Memory care was lacking help, it was a 1:8 ratio and that did not work for the care that my mom needed.

My review of The Lexington Assisted Living (Pinnacle Senior Living)

Our family was able to have an in person tour, and we were very impressed with the place itself. However even though the tour guide was very nice, he did not seemed prepared to answer our basic questions. He also did not really put in an effort to find someone to answer those questions. The attitude seemed very lackadaisical for being the face of the community.

Better than our family home

The staff are just amazing. They are warm, friendly, approachable, and just super people. It's like living in a healthy home environment. The food is good and like home cooking. We searched and visited several places that were fancy and hotel like, but here they were warm and sincere. The residents and the staff are friendly and compassionate. My mom says it's the best thing ever. She is happy as a clam and is really thrilled to be living there. During COVID, the communication has been great. They send a weekly email update. I love the way they are handling things with gloves, masks, and taking temperatures when people enter the building, they have had no cases.

Everyone very friendly and helpful. I think it is a good value - for someone that doesn't need a lot of care. I always find it clean. The response time is not always as fast as you'd like if you have an issue.

I toured The Lexington. Very clean and comfortable Community. Loved the staff ratio in Memory Care. Very nice courtyard and large dining room. Dining room accommodates all residents rather than set seating like other communities I’ve visited. 24 hr front desk staff is a real plus. Staff seemed knowledgeable and caring to my family needs.

Great Community!

The Lexington is a great community surrounded by wonderful caregivers and other staff. There's a reason this community has been 95% occupied for over 30 years- they care! Residents and their families aren't just another number, everyone is treated as family

My sisters comfort.

This is a good community for excellent care. The community is clean and well maintained for her to enjoy. They have a nice variety of meals. They offer her alot of activities that she is participating with the other residents. She likes being able to go on small trips outside of the community. We are happy with the care and the value of this community.

Too small!

I did not like Lexington Assisted Living when I toured. The rooms were extremely small, they were only about 200 feet which are the size of a large closet. Everyone there was nice, but it seemed like a place for people who needed a higher level of care than my father, so it was not going to be a good fit.

Yes, our smallest studio is approximately 200 sq ft but it is the most affordable. Our apartments can be as big as 750 sq ft. Like a cruise ship where the traveler is not confined to their cabin all day, our residents are active, socializing with friends, going on outings, enjoying a swim in the pool or watching a movie in our movie theatre. Thank you so much for touring the Lexington and for your review.

Building needs refurbishing

My mother spent her last days here and I was comfortable with the care she received given the circumstances. They could pay more attention to upkeep and maintenance of the building. Refurbishing is needed, such as, new carpeting and fresh paint. Overall, I would recommend the community.

I took a tour!

When I toured the Lexington Assisted Living, it was an older community and seemed to have an older feel. It did not seem like they were as committed to the community as other places I toured. It was a nice place and everyone was very friendly, but it was not what we were looking for.

Let a little light in!

When I walked in I knew that this was not the place for my loved one. It was dark and dingy and very dirty as well. They also did not offer balcony's which is something we looked for. The gentleman that took us around however, was very very nice and helpful. The community just did not offer much which the price reflected that.
