I would not recommend. The management is hopeless..everything is broken (heat, air, plumbing) When we report issues they take them as complaints.

It's overpriced but the environment is very nice. The initial amenities were taken away without notice, but the overall living quality and the Greenbelt next to it, makes it very appealing.

Crest at Citrus Heights Review
They stopped serving food, it's clean the staff is great, they have outings I don't participate I'm handicapped, it's very quiet the rent is $[removed]. They play games like bingo etc. a beauty parlor. If you need anything looked at they come and take of it. I have a 5x5 walk in closet when you come in, my living area a bedroom and bath. A housekeeper that mops my floors on Mondays. All the floors are hard wood. The window in my living room is almost floor to ceiling. A porch in the bedroom. They stopped meals because they want it to be independent living. I really like living here if you want to do activities they have them. They don't push you into anything. You don't get any noise from the outside and neighbors. I'm very happy here. They are making changes to update to up date the facility. Doors are locked at 4pm we all have keys to get in.

Disappointed
I picked this community because of the pricing, amenities, and location. I am so disappointed. If you want to pay more for an apartment without senior amenities such as food, medical alert, desk service and limited activities etc then this is the place for you.

We are truly sorry that the change from an assisted living community to 55+ Independent Senior apartments negatively impacted you. It was not our intent to disappoint future residents but now that time has passed, we hope that you have found the right fit for you.

No DINING!!!
This facility is horrible. They took away meals from seniors with no warning. And not enough credit to get meals for yourself. Just horrible!! No way to treat seniors! They did the same thing at their other community in Carmichael… just awful!

Keep services as promised.
I would not recommend Crest as a residence for an aging parent. Clearly they have little regard for the needs of the elderly. Crest announced on 3/1/23 that on 4/1/23 they were no longer serving meals. This is one of the primary reasons Crest was chosen as a residence. Because of this policy change my mother had to move to another facility.

Great Quality-Decent Price
Everything has been nice and clean. The interaction with the staff has been great. It was the most reasonable option, along with quality. They do well with, the value for the cost, and my loved is getting cleaning done, which has been great.

When I was told I would need to find a new "home" I was fortunate to find Pacifica where the management and particularly the staff help make living here a treat. I have not seen another senior living facility that is so high goal setting that makes residents comfortable!

This has been an excellent experience for me. The staff are courtesy. The community is quiet. If you need something the staff are there to assist me with. The room, once a month housekeeping, utilities, and maintenance are included in the monthly rate. They are quick to respond to maintenance requests such as leaky toilets. The community serves two meals a day, and there are menus to choose from on what to eat. They serve the food to the residents. The meals are able to be delivered to the residents' room for an additional fee. The apartment has a small kitchen and there are laundry facilities in the building.

My tour review
We like this community but it was too far for where we wanted me loved one to be located. The tour was okay but the person was really new because the person that was supposed to be there did not show so she did not know a lot. She did a fine job with the circumstances but did not know a lot.

Changes happening at The Crest
A month ago I would have had glorious things to say, but since that time things have changed drastically. I am very happy with my apartment and I love the grounds. The food is wonderful and the people who work in the dining area are great. They have been updating everything and it is going to be beautiful when it is finished. The director was very nice but he worked between this facility and another. Everything was ok but then the director wrote a letter that spread throughout the buildings. He claimed Pacifica (who took over the place) was not doing things right. It also said they were going to close the dining room and it was going to become a 55+ community. They are not giving us much information at all. We got a letter slipped under ours door stating they would no longer do wellness checks. There are people here who definitely need to be checked on. If they do discontinue the dining room, I think a lot of people would leave.

Marketing director [name removed] was patient & we were pleased with community
Marketing director was king and attentive. She showed us the most beautiful room with a court side vie. My mother cannot wait to move in. If everyone here is as kind and compassionate as [name removed] was then i know I've made the right decision.

Recently toured and loved it
I recently toured this facility and it exceeded my expectations. The newly renovated rooms are absolutely gorgeous! Larger than I thought the would be too. The young woman who gave me the tour listened to my worries and made me confident this was the place for my grandmother. All the staff seemed involved and happy to be there. I wouldn’t want my grandmother anywhere else.

Absolutely wonderful
The new management since Pacifica Senior Living took over is fantastic! The residents feel safe and are beginning to enjoy their lives now that covid restrictions have lessened. They are thrilled to have a plethora of activities, fun conversations with the staff, and beautiful courtyard filled with rabbits, turkeys, and squirrels. The pricing can't be beat! The rooms are spacious and the vacant rooms are being completely renovated. No salt is added to the food and the residents raved about the St. Patrick's Day corned beef and cabbage. I highly recommend this community!

I'm Glad I'm Safe, But I Wouldn't do it Over Again
I haven't been too happy here. I think I'm a little to young to be in this community. Most residents are in their 80s. The activities seem to be the same over and over again, this might be because of the pandemic.

A Place for Mom has scored The Crest at Citrus Heights 7.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
