Please be careful and do a lot of research before you place a loved one here. The website has not been updated in years, the staff they have listed no longer works there except for one. The previous director was a major asset to Country Home and he retired and moved out of state several years ago. Be very cautious the current staff is not caring most of the staff left after [name removed]retired because the new management is running this place into the ground. Before my father passed we had plans of relocating him, we would spend more time there because we lost faith. There response to his care in his last few weeks was not acceptable. The staff is told when tours are happening, this is not daily life there. The level of memory care is that the doors are locked. There was not one RN on staff and the care is more custodial. I’ve seen reviews by there own staff, one of the profile pictures in a review was an old staff member who was fired and the name was different. Do your research!!

My mom has been at the Country Home for several years. The staff at the Country Home (and the other residents) have given my mom a new lease on life. When she entered the CH, her every day was a living nightmare. She woke up every day upset, anxious, and suffering from delusions that her (deceased) parents were in trouble and needed help or that my (deceased) father was holding her captive. For the first month or so, she suffered from similar delusions, but with the dedicated help of the staff at the Country Home, she slowing but surely became happy again. She became part of the community at the Country Home. She made friends and the caring staff helped her to find joy in her life. She still suffers from dementia. She still has delusions that lead her to believe things that are not true. However now, on most days, the delusions are about good things like her parents being alive and her wanting to throw an anniversary party for them. On the days when the delusions are bad, the staff

I was lucky to have found The Country Home, I visit my mom daily, the staff is constantly cleaning, new kitchen installed, residents are constantly doing some kind of activity, Not one resident is in their room, and music throughout rooms. I have been upstairs and yes they are further along in their disease process, they are entertained with dolls and interactive animals, blocks and interactive mats. I am very happy that my mother is loved and cared for at the Country Home I am at peace and know my decision was a good one.

The Country Home use to provide a nice clean home like atmosphere when my father-in-law lived there. But as soon as new management took over, everything changed for the worse. From the food, to activities, the care, the level of cleanliness and the staff. It is not a memory care facility, it has a few lock doors with keypads. I have never been on the second floor but I hear the residents basically sit at two tables from one end of the day to the next with no stimulation at all. One of the nurses said most of the time she is the only one watching all of the patients. I have noticed most of the old staff has left. I can absolutely NOT recommend this place anymore!!

This place is quiet and perfect for those dealing with dementia and Alzheimer's. The care my loved one received in her final months is much appreciated.

Patients seem so happy to see each other during our tour. It's older looking but the feeling is the so happy and at home and friendly. It was like going to be a big party center when we came.

This community was good but they did not have the facilities to care for my loved one like she needed. Overall the community was good.

Every time I was there the community was clean. The staff is very personable and they were very sensitive, patient and understanding. They very much cared about their residents. The care giving staff noticed the smaller details with my mother-in-law's care and were very on top of it. They made my mother feel very at home and the nurses were very attentive. They helped her with walking, quality of life, and other hygienic needs. They did a good job with helping her keep her dignity, which was very important to me. They showed a lot of respect for her.

The Country Home's staff is dedicated and caring. However, while the facility holds itself out as "Assisted Living with Memory Care", the vast majority of the residents are extremely cognitively impaired. As a result, we saw no evidence of "memory care", but rather simply custodial care. In essence, it functions as a nursing home without skilled nursing care.

I met and spoke with the manager and was very impressed! When a facility cares so much about their employees it quickly trickles down to the residents. But even if that wasn't true, it's easy to sense a genuine team of people who care about the elderly.

I like the care at this community. The community is a little on the older side. When The staff is caring and attentive. We are happy with staff who are attentive. They do have activities that are offered. We would recommend families to tour this community for the care of a loved one.

My grandfather was at this establishment for close to a year. I had a great many issues with the management. They would constantly lose my grandfathers clothes, they would get mixed up with other peoples laundry. I later realized they would wash everyone's clothes together. Even the ones that were soiled would go together with other peoples clothes also living there in the washer altogether. My grandfather would get skin tears and bruising on his hands. I caught one foreign incoherent staff lady manhandling my grandfather and yelling at him. What ultimately forced us to get out of this place was when my grandfather was sent to the ER for medical reasons and the owner refused to accept him back when he was well enough to come back. This was after she and I had a disagreement. No forewarning or anything, they had all his things packed and bagged in his suitcase and garbage bags. Be careful dealing with this establishment.

My mother will be moving from this community pretty soon, but I was very satisfied with everything they have done for us. It is a beautiful community, the grounds and the community are very well maintained. My only issue was I wish they would had taken her outside more to experience to nice grounds. The staff is great, they are very caring. They would inform me of anything that happened. I was very pleased with my experience here at this community.

I took a tour of this place and liked it for a lot of things. First I noticed the staff seem to really care for the residents and the gave a homey feeling to the community. The bedroom were spaced enough and it seemed always clean. A nurse also told me this was a good community. The price is very reasonable, even though it does not look fancy I feel this was a better place. We were unable to move Mom in because she was not walker-ready.

This community was good to us. I have my mom living here for respite, which seems to be clean for guest and residents. With some proactive talks the staff were able to get things more on track. My mom was unable to eat and because she did not feel well enough, she did not join in activities. Overall I like this community and I was happy with the care given.

A Place for Mom has scored The Country Home 8.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
