Everythings good!
My mom likes this community and is very pleased with everything. We like that they have a lot of things to keep the residents involved and active. Mom doesn't like the food, but maybe because she was a chef herself.

In October of 2017, my elderly mother and I rented the Guest Suite at The Carolinian for a 5 night stay so we could EXPERIENCE what everyday life at The Carolinian would be like. Of course, my mother was not interested in moving into a "facility" but not knowing what it was truly like and not having been there at all, she reluctantly agreed to go and stay with me. After the second day of being there, my mother inquired of me if I thought they had any open apartments that she could look at! What a blessing that was for me. And might I add that the week that we stayed there, most of the Administrative Staff was away at a conference for the week so we were in the hands of the hourly staff and they could not have treated us any better if the Management had been on site! That speaks volume of the kind of employees they have at The Carolinian! My mother currently resides in INDEPENDENT LIVING at The Carolinian. They do offer a specific number of rooms in the ASSISTED LIVING Building if your needs apply. You might qualify for Assisted Living for the mere fact that you can't remember to take your medications and how much to take but you are physically capable of participating in all the daily activities there. We are pleased to know that if my mother were to need to be in ASSISTED LIVING, that she would remain at the same facility with the same friendly staff.

Dad Is Getting Use To His New Home
This community is nice with staff that are welcoming and helpful to Dad. He likes it here and is doing good so far. He has gone to a few activities like a flamingo party and a baseball game. The food is good, fresh and good portions. So far everyone has been welcoming and help my dad get comfortable. I would recommend this community to others.

Nice place
Our experience with The Carolinian has been a very positive one, overall. The place is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful, and they even seem to do a pretty good job with the food. They've taken good care of our loved one, and we have no complaints!

Thankful
Unable to comment on the physical aspects of the facility but the Admissions/Marketing Director, Debby Humphries was excellent to work with and had the enthusiasm about her facility and residents that is hard to beat. She went above and beyond to assist with a difficult placement. Hope to be working with her again soon.

A very friendly place. Ate lunch there. Lots of choices. Food was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. All was healthy. Nice safe outdoor area. Everything appeared clean. Caroline was a wonderful hostess and tour guide. Accommodations seemed very nice as did the different gathering areas. I was quite impressed.

Great Value
My rating says it all. It's a great value. They offer a lot for the price. The staff has been wonderful. My mother is not one to really do the activities, she will just not, so she stays in her room mostly. But activities are available. She says the food is pretty good.
