Florence Place, provides attentive care in a homelike environment. Caregivers and a full-time registered nurse create individual care plans for residents while providing clinical oversight and coordination of care. Staff – many of whom are bilingual – makes your life easier with routine housekeeping, transportation, and on-site beautician services. Residents have plenty of free time to socialize in spacious community common areas, share meals in the restaurant-style dining room, and engage in scheduled activities and events like art classes, trivia games, or clubs.
Florence Place is a community residential care facility, which in the state of South Carolina is a facility that offers room and board and a degree of personal assistance for a period of time in excess of 24 consecutive hours for two or more residents. I would certainly recommend this network (Florence Place in particular) to anyone in need of care for a loved one. I had heard about A Place for Mom on TV, so I called them. I didn't know that it was a network of facilities, nor did I know that it was affordable. So, my wife and I went to visit and check out Florence Place in person. The staff, facilities, services, etc. amazed me. I was convinced that this was the right place.

With the care services there was a problem in the beginning but it was addressed promptly. What we like most about the Florence Place is the cost vs [community name removed] prices and we loved the porch access. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families looking for a place fr their loved ones.

We toured Florence Place when searching for an Assisted Living facility for our loved ones. Our tour guide and the staff that we talked to were very friendly and helpful. However, the facility didn't fit our needs for our loved ones.
The staff members there really made our loved one feel comfortable and welcomed. They were so attentive and accommodating to her needs and our families needs. They were able to provide that around the clock service and keep a close eye on our loved one.

August 2, 2022Thanks for the review and feedback, Jeff! We appreciate you taking the time to share with us, and we’re so glad to hear that you’re happy with your loved one's care. Thank you again! – Team Enlivant
The units were too small for the price. Older facility.

Our tour at Florence Place was good and on par with the majority of other places that we looked. There was nothing wrong with it by any means. We were just absolutely blown away by one of the other places that we looked at.
The entire staff was friendly. The Facility is appropriate for my family member. We felt Welcomed.

I think this community is excellent and was for my mother. The staff was great to work with. They were able to keep me updated via phone and email during the pandemic. The grounds looked good about a year ago. The community was able to give both vaccines to the residents.

I would tell others that we did not have the best experience here. The staff here kind of passed the ball around. You aren't able to speak with anybody and no one wanted to take responsibility for their actions. There was only one staff member we could really talk to, if she was not around we could not get a hold of anyone. I would not recommend.

When we first toured this community it was very clean, but unfortunately we have not been back since COVID so we don't know how clean this community has been kept. The staff is very friendly. My mom in general likes the food, but would love to see more of variety of vegetables and fish. We thought the rooms were very well laid out, very spacious. The windows that are in the rooms provide really good natural light.

This facility surprised me. It was a very nice home. Talked to lots of residences and staff. All were happy and enjoyed living or working there. This home is a little cheaper than mb estates. They also use elderlife financial. It’s going to be hard to make a decision.

We toured this community for my father in law, and his needs. The tour went well. Everyone was kind to my family, and I. The staff was kind, and helpful. The only thing I was not impressed with was the cleanliness of the community. Everyone was kind, but we did find another community that met our needs better.

We liked the fact that everyone had their own apartment. The staff was caring and interested in the residents-so many activities. I liked the Christian/spiritual opportunities. I was concerned about the stairs.

I like this community for the care that my mother is received. The staff are very patient and caring to the residents. The menu is appealing and she seems to be happy with the variety. They offer her activities that she enjoys from time to time. We would recommend the care and the value of this community to other families for the great care and value that is received here at this nice community.

My sister and I visited numerous facilities in Florence and Columbia. This was one of the most difficult decisions we have ever had to make. We really liked Brookdale but for financial reason had decided to use another facility in Florence. Before we placed Mom we couldn't get them to return our calls when we had questions. This made us very uncomfortable. We decided to call Brookdale and see if they still had room and how soon we could get Mom's room ready. [removed]called me back in 20 minutes on a Sunday. She and all of the administration worked with us making move in as painless and as fast as possible. We are so grateful for their patience and support. Mom is in the memory care unit at Brookdale. All of the staff are so wonderful with the ladies. They treat them with respect and most important they show them love. Dena keeps them busy, she is awesome! If I needed placement that is where I'd want my family to put me!

We absolutely love this community. My dad had really gone down hill and was not walking when he arrived here. Thanks to the staff and there help my dad is dancing and has become involved with all the activities. We are very pleased with everything that has happened in such a short time.

I did not have a problem with the staff but one thing that I was upset with was that my grandmother was in the front with her robe and hair cap on with zero oxygen and they told me that she kelp pushing the call button that was around her neck. So they just kept her up front. I did addressed that concern but that was it. They way they go about things I did not like. My grandmother said she was treated completely wrong and they talk to her any kind of way. Ashley was the only one she loved that treated her nicely. We moved her to another assistant living and she been there for about 3 week and she loves it there. My grandmother is over 90 years old and she was very upset living there the first week.

A Place for Mom has scored Florence Place 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
