Short but by far the best

My husband spent only a short time at The Auberge, but while there he received the best care of his three-year journey through the various stages of dementia. From the minute I walked in the door till my loved one drew his last peaceful breath, the staff was totally supportive, caring, attentive and professional to the highest degree. I only wish we could have known about this place at an earlier date.

Our family had an in person tour and the experience was good, it was aesthetically right on par with the other communities we were checking out. However the location was just a little farther out for our family.

Excellent experience in care for my Mom

I am constantly impressed by the care my Mom receives at Auberge. Every staff member always has a great attitude, and more than that, they each go over and above constantly to provide the best in care, as well as safety, for my Mom and every resident. It is very obvious that their primary concern is for the health, comfort and safety of every resident, and my family and I appreciate this sincerely. We cannot say "Thank You" enough!

I am a Physician Assistant for Psychiatry, and I render my services at several Assisted Living residences in the Chicagoland area, impressed by the professionalism of the nurses and caregivers at the Auberge of Highland Park, and the good report they have with each residents and close attention to clinical needs they make present. Nurses are in tune with patient responses to treatments and new behaviors characteristics to the dementia condition. Staff have a close connection with families, and to keep them informed about their loved ones. Facility is clean, the staff is attentive to residents' needs.

I am pleased to provide a review at Auberge. The dedicated management team and staff has provided around-the-clock care to the residents to ensure their safety and well-being. The caregiver and staff gave the resident and meaningful activities to promote participation and socialization with one another. The nursing staff continually monitors residents for any changes and collaborates with the resident physician and families as necessary. The Auberge at Highland Park is wonderful, home for those with memory care impairments.

I change my mom from another home because I heard really good things about Auberge. I'm really glad we made the change. So she's been here, she's gained 11 pounds!! Which is wonderful, see who was really under right before. Everyone there is nice and care about their job , I feel this is the most important thing because I truly feel my mom is being taken care of.

Care and comfort at the Auberge I can imagine few things more stressful than moving a loved one into a new community during a pandemic. Not being able to see the inside of a facility was eased by the photos of her room and a personalized video sent by the staff. As my husband and I dropped off load after load of furniture and boxes, the Auberge staff was there to carry in my mother's belongings. They helped her unpack and arrange her things so that it felt comfortable. The staff shows kindness and respect in every interaction they have with my mother - they are intent on making her happy. They are also patient and gracious in their frequent and timely communication with our family. They truly give their all to ease this difficult transition for both my mother and ourselves.

My wife has been a resident of Auberge in Highland Park for about a year. In an advanced stage of Alzheimer's, she is unable to speak, except for an occasional yes, but when I recently asked her whether the staff were friendly and helpful to her she nodded vigorously, her face brightened, and she managed a clear 'yes.' That was no surprise to me. I am heartened to see caregivers give residents personable, cheerful attention--it's not merely a 'job' to them. They are just as warm towards me and our family. We have likewise welcomed the transparency of the leadership in updating loved ones weekly, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, I feel as comfortable as one can be of my wife's safety during these uncertain months. Nurses contact me often to update me on her condition and readily answer any questions I have from day to day. The quiet sunrooms on the ends of each of the three floors are ideal for private visiting, especially when friends have come. I have missed them these past months of the pandemic. A small garden near the entrance allows residents to get outdoors. We have used it often, even for a haircut for my wife-lots of fun. When personal visits are not wise, Skype at least keeps me in visible touch. Zoom allows her to listen in to her sibs, scattered across the country. Until COVID-19 swept in, Auberge offered an ambitious activity and entertainment schedule, including art therapists who were able to stimulate my wife's interest and, more recently physical therapy, which sustained her love of walking the hallways. In short, our experiences with Auberge in Highland Park have been very positive. Anyone needing such care will do well to check it out.

An Exceptional Experience

My 102 year old mother has been a resident for 3 years. The entire staff knows her name and has a kind word for her. She is treated with dignity and respect. Her vision is limited and there is always someone there to lend a hand. From the director to caregivers to the front office personnel to the activity co-ordinator,to the nursing staff,to the housekeeping staff, Auberge is truely a community.Not only do they focus on my mom's individual needs but they also are responsive to the family. One of the most appreciated things is when they call a family member the conversation always begins,"This is -------from Auberge,there is no emergency.....". [name removed],the director ,functions as the team leader. She thinks "outside the box" to resolve issues for the residents as well as family members.
