We chose The Addison because they were both the closest and the most affordable for us. My moms room size is great for what she needs, it could have been a double occupancy room but she is the only one in it so it is very spacious. The staff members have been going out of their way to help accommodate and take care of detailed things that we ask for. I would recommend to others who are looking.
Make sure you stay on top of communication and make sure your loved one is happy. The community is neat and clean and the staff is very friendly. When we moved in they were running a special so the value is very good. I would recommend this community to other
I do not want to make this review to detailed for fear of them figuring out who left it and taking vengeful measures since I am working on getting my loved one out of their now. Twice a fall occured and it took between 45 minutes and an hour for help to come after the call bell was pressed. Staff searched the room without permission or notification until they where caught doing it. Staff twerking in the hallway. Relative overheard staff calling them crazy. I could write multiple pages of this story but I am trying to keep it short. Staff acting without Dr. orders and loss of narcotic pain meds. Advertised services not delivered upon.
There is a nice selection of activities, but my loved one doesn't participate in them. The activities included baking, bingo, movies, and taking them to stores for shopping. They even had hallway games. This community is very well run place. My loved one is very happy there and has received excellent care from the community. They do allow smoking on the premises which makes my loved one very happy. They are very strict on smoking outside only.
I was planning on putting my mom at the Carillon in Fuquay. When I took her there to visit [name removed] made her feel right at home. While touring the facility you could tell he was liked by all the residents. He explained everything to my husband and I and was very caring and made me feel really good about the Carillon. Unfortunately my mother fell right before she was scheduled to move in, and could no longer go to the facility. He went above and beyond to give us a refund and was so understanding and caring. He is an asset to the Carillon. He also went to see my mom in the nursing home she had to go to which meant a lot to us. You can tell he really cares about the elder population. [Name removed] was also very friendly when we went to visit. I would recommend the Carillon because I really think they care about the residents.
MOST OF HELP WAS SUPER.BUT AT TIMES WAS SHORT HANDED ,ESPESIALLY ON WEEKENDS. FOOD SAS JUST OK.TOO MUCH HARD TO DIGEST,LOST A LOT OF GOOD HELP. HOWEVER AT THE PASSING EVERONE WAS RESPECTFULL AND VERY CARING.

I just wanted to send a note of PRAISE for EVERYONE connected with my mom's assisted living center, Carillon of Fuquay-Varina. My mom has been a resident at Carillon for 18 months and during that time her health and overall disposition have significantly improved. She's 87 and I believe will stay with us for another 10+ years! Carillon of Fuquay-Varina is "homey," kind, and very caring. The staff truly goes out of their way to make certain that all residents receive medication, comfort items, and the loving support that they need and deserve! The moment I met the staff and toured the facilities I knew this was the place for my mom. It's not too opulent; it's not "run-down" in any way; it's just right! In fact, if I'm lucky enough to live long enough to require health care, I would have no difficulty living there...just make sure I can still play golf!
My Aunt has been at Carillon for 3.5 years now in their Garden area. She has been treated very well by the staff. The staff is always friendly and caring towards my Aunt. They are very good about keeping me advised of any changes happening with my Aunt's care, behavior, etc. The Director [name removed], has been amazing. He is extremely kind and patient with my Aunt and the families. [Name removed], the nurse has been consistent in contacting me with questions, etc. She has made numerous wonderful recommendations to us. I never have to worry for one minute that my Aunt is not being properly cared for at Carillon in Fuquay-Varina
Loved this facility! The price was reasonable for all of the amenities they have to offer. It is very homey and welcoming. The dining area looks like a restaurant! Staff were all friendly and kind to residents and the residents looked happy, which you don't always see when visiting senior living facilities.
I had a family member at this community. I moved her for safety. Medication errors were the normal. It varied from medication being late, too much medication, not enough or someone elses. There were issues with cleaning. The sheets were not changed with any regularity. Maybe once every couple of months. The rooms themselves were not cleaned either. Complaints to nursing or the administrator made no difference either. Corporate has never responded to repeated complaints. Hopefully the compliant I filed with social services will get someones attention. I am sorry I was unable to move her sooner but she is in a better, cleaned actually managed place.
I have a family member who lived there. There have been multiple issues. Can't get staff to change the bed linens. Can get the room cleaned. The worst has been medication errors. Luckily she has caught the fact that she was being given the wrong medication and did not take it. I am so glad she is out of there now.
I liked this community. The staff is very very attentive to the residents. The meals have a good variety. They do offer a variety of activities. We would recommend this if looking for a safe environment.
Carillon is one of the first facilities that we have visited in this area. The facility was very nice with a very pleasant dining room and a few of parlors and living rooms for social interaction. What impressed me most was the staff. They seem exceptionally caring. The rooms were adequate although it is difficult for me to make a judgement with this being one of my first facilities visited. I did like that everything was in one building with no stairs to climb. Overall, I was favorably impressed.
