  • Inadequate at best.

It is difficult because of the restrictions placed on the information you can provide. Nevertheless I will try to summarize my experience HORRIBLE. Everything in my review is a fact that I witnessed. They overdosed my husband on medications that could have stopped his heart. They did not do his ADL's. I had to come over everyday to take care of him. I had to pay someone to come in to take care of him if I went out of town. He fell in his room and they did not call 911 and made a unqualified decision that he was not hurt. I had to take him to the hospital myself. The staff did nothing to supervise the residents, particularly at night. Most nights staff were no where to be found. Another family member and myself had to stop a resident from choking because no one was around to help. I could go on but I think you get the picture. Management was unresponsive to expressed concerns. The best thing about this place was their activity person. I moved my husband out in July to another facility.

  • Excellent service and care

I moved my friend into Symphony at St Augustine. Symphony and the care staff are amazing. They are caring and loving and take care of her as if she was family. They are attentive and the facility is clean and bright and feels like home. They have definitely made me and my friend feel like family and truly care about her. The activity director is very knowledgeable and has awesome activities for the residents. There is always something for everyone to enjoy. They take field trips weekly. [Name removed] in the business office is a gem as well. She is always willing to sit and talk with you if you have any questions or concerns and handles them promptly. [Name removed], helped us every step of the way and made her transition easier than I ever thought it would be. The concierge is fantastic and is always willing to help and can answer all my questions. She greets everyone that walks through the door with a smile. I highly recommend Symphony at St Augustine to anyone looking for an assisted living and memory care community for their loved one.
