This community well exceeded my expectations for my mothers care. The staff are perfect and communicate very well in regards to my loved one. I have seen various activities happening here on a daily basis like work outs, games, music, movies and more for the residents to do to stay busy in the community. They have something different almost daily and also go outside, musicians also come in to entertain this is a wonderful place. Response from Sunrise of Lafayette Hill
May 18, 2022Hi Patricia, It is delightful to hear that you have been satisfied with the personalized support provided to your loved one by Sunrise of Lafayette Hill. Our team members share a common goal of enriching every resident’s life by carefully listening to their needs and always delivering the very best. Thank you! – The Sunrise Team
I think for what I am paying, my loved one is not getting the care that we were supposed to be getting. I know they are short staffed so that is playing a part in it. The portion sizes on the meals are small, I think they could give the residents more. Overall I would still recommend them, they just need some improvements.
We had a great tour with Sunrise. The facility was very clean and nice, they were the runner up. The location was just too far for our family.
All the food was brought to my loved' ones room. The community tried to get my loved one to eat three meals a day. The community did try to accommodate my loved one with snacks. We ended up moving my loved one out of the community due to advanced medical needs. There were extra fees for medication distribution, and additional care. These fees were on top of the monthly fee.
Our family has been very pleased with the care services our loved one has receiving since moving in. The food is very good, they get choices at each meal time. Our loved one loves the food and even our family that has been able to visit, they say the quality is great. The activities are coming back, they have games and exercises classes. The outings have been taken away for now, but should be coming back soon.
I have a loved one here and this place is horrible. I visit every day and I witness what goes on. If you call for help it takes close to an hour for someone to come in. There is only 1 person who gives out medications for the whole place and that person isnt an actual nurse she is some kind of tech. When you come to see the place they are so nice to you and promise your loved one will have so much fun here but do not be fooled. DO NOT COME HERE !!
Our preliminary interview with [name removed] gave us a wealth of knowledge about Sunrise of Lafayette Hill, and made our decision to have our relative move into the facility an easy one. Move-in day, which required a number of communications with a local Hospital, eliminated the stress we sometimes found ourselves in. Upon arrival we were all greeted by the staff, who assured us they would take care of the physical and emotional needs of our relative. We remain extremely satisfied with this care, and the support they give our family.
From our first visit to Sunrise last year it was very welcoming and friendly. [name removed] answered all my questions and any concerns I had. The staff is very professional and always keeps me informed. My brother loves his room and also the food. I feel very confident that we made the right decision on selecting Sunrise to provide care for my brother
I’m more than pleased with my experience with Sunrise of Lafayette Hill from the thoroughness of the intake process to the quality of care and the facility itself. Finding a place that would meet all my husband’s needs was a long and stressful process but from my first visit to Sunrise I knew that I had finally found a caring and home-like place. I’ve never been disappointed. The real measure of quality has been how Sunrise has managed through this pandemic. The staff have been amazing! I’ve greatly appreciated the extra care they have given my husband. I’ve also been kept apprised of the situation on a weekly basis.
My mother passed away and my 94 year old father needed help with daily living tasks. Sunrise is located 5 minutes from our home so we investigated it and found it to be quite welcoming. The suites are configured in such a way that there is a front room, a short hall with the bath on one side and a kitchenette on the other and a backroom which he uses as his bedroom. The room are sized well so that all of the furniture that Dad brought from his home of 30 years fit comfortably. The staff is very attentive and kind. Additional visits from PT, OT, Speech Pathology, physician, dentist and podiatrist have been maintained even during Covid 19. The staff has done an admirable job with patient safety during Covid. Dad has felt well taken care of during his stay.
When I looked at Sunrise, one of my major concerns was transportation. They let me know that they now had transportation and that was the decider. Once we got here, they only did transportation 3 days a week and now its only running 2 days a week. There are a lot of restrictions on offerings such as personal services. If you have a family member who is mobile, this is a wonderful place! The more you are restricted by health issue and mobility, the more difficult it is to get these services all the time. The people are caring, food is good, it is a nice place but only for the right person. Make sure you ask the right questions.
Toured on Thursday, [date removed]. Very convenient to where we live (in Lafayette Hill, PA). [name removed], the sales person was fantastic. This option is still open to us - however, it's number two on our respite / temporary personal care, specially for memory care for our Mom.
cozy, compact, very friendly
My Uncle has had a difficult time with his adjustment here and we are still waiting for management to schedule his 2nd assessment for his level of care here. He is still somewhat independent in his own daily activities and doing his meds but he does need the extra care from the staff when he is getting ready for bed so the staff has been very attentive and friendly encouraging him. My Uncle enjoy joining the other residents in the dining room at mealtime and he likes going out on the patio and porch areas where he visits with the other residents as well, We are taking this slowly and moving forward.
So far my mom is settling in nicely at the Sunrise Senior Living of Lafayette Hill. The staff is friendly and caring and attentive to her care needs. I have not had the opportunity to dine with my mom but she says the food is very good, they offer a variety of healthy choices, and the meals are well balanced. There are plenty of activities that the staff encourages the residents to participate. My mom is not one who likes to engage in activities. There are nice walkways to enjoy the outdoors, seating is available in separate patio areas that are beautifully landscaped with flowers. I would recommend this community to others.
We had a short experience in this community. However overall this is a pleasant community. The staff was kind, and friendly. The community was well-kept. They have nice activities available for the residents. It didn't work out for us, but it is a community I would recommend.
The community did not work out for us but it was nothing on their part. My loved one was just not happy. They tried everything possible, though, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was nice, clean and maintained well. Defiantly a good place for anyone looking.
I was able to take a tour of this community. The staff was friendly and very helpful with taking us around the community. There was just a feeling that I got and did not think that this was the place for my loved one. It just did not compare to the other properties.
I am fairly happy with the care that they provide. The staff are good people and I am able to communicate with them well. The meals are good and my uncle is happy with the food. I have a little concerns about my uncle's room. I feel they do a better job cleaning his room. Otherwise the community is clean.
Sunrise is very nice. It is always clean and well taken care of. The staff is nice and friendly and they really seem to care about the residents. The building has a warm, inviting atmosphere when you come in.
