Great Staff to Resident Ratio - passionate & respectful care providers

I would tell others about the level of care provided by St. Francis. There is a real respect generated for these residents. They treat the residents like they would treat their own mother. I like that it's not huge, they don't take on more than they can chew. It seems like a caregiver is always available for each resident. The activities director is top-notch, and even sends me photos of my loved one. Activities are geared to get everyone involved and they include golf - as they have putting green down, bowling - where they roll a ball down to some pins, noodles that they use to bounce balloons, and a ping pong table with residents sitting on opposite ends. They always have music playing, which is very engaging. In the dining and living room, the TV is always on. Even if the residents don't know what they're watching, they're still engaged in something. On my loved one's floor, they have a huge area with a big flat table, and a bookcase with crayons & markers. A lot of people go up there to sit and draw. That's available 24/7. Every resident is different, as some are higher functioning than others. But they're never in isolation. Communication is top-notch. The individual I communicate with the most is the head med tech. I am very hands on, and I see them a lot. If I have a concern, I go to her immediately and I'll get a call back if not within the same day, it's never more than a day later. My mother-in-law was placed here in mid April, and it was a learning experience for the first month. We had to figure out what they could and could not do, and what we could and could not do. We created a list of all of those things and sent them via email. She helped my husband and I setup a meeting with the administrator within a week, as soon as we were available. When they went down our list and reached the end, they asked us, "have we resolved your issue?". They have an unbelieve amount of communication. They came up with the idea of a cork board, which is a communication board for my loved ones room. So if I have questions, I leave a note for her care providers and when I come back in a few days there's always a response. They even notify me when her protein drinks are running low. They deal with issues as quickly as they can and they take communication very seriously. I would absolutely recommend St. Francis Assisted Care to others, in a heartbeat.... Read more

I’m very pleased with the care at Saint Francis

I am thoroughly pleased with Saint Francis assisted care… They look out for their clients and treats them like family..Everybody is extremely friendly and kind… At Christmas time they had Carolers come and sing.. I feel my loved one is helped in a genuinely caring atmosphere in the home.. I would recommend it to anyone

Completely satisfied

It is an older facility but they have fixed it up to look nice. After looking at St. Francis we knew that he would fit in here. We also really like that it is a locked rate and the prices will not go up. The administrative staff have been exceptional and really worked with us especially with the move in process. They have really bent over backwards for us and have been great with communication. They have chef prepared meals and from what I can see they look very good. I think the value for the amount of care he is receiving is great. We have been thrilled with our experience.

a great place for a loved one

The staff was very friendly and helpful and the care they provided was excellent. They went above and beyond to make sure my loved one was happy. The community was ahead of the curve with covid and did a great job keeping their residents safe. I would recommend this community to others. The grounds are secure and safe for memory care also.

Our experience at St. Francis

I don't think it was spotless, but it didn't look dirty. Since we couldn't go in, I don't know how often they changed bedding or how often they assisted with showers. I don't know how well our loved was taken care of. There was a bad fall, and nobody helped in the middle of the night. Our loved one was bedridden and I think people tend to ignore people like that. There was no communication - they didn't tell us about the fall. Hospice did. In a meeting about if afterward, it was like they wanted to cover it up. The hospice nurse confirmed bruising I felt like it wasn't about my loved one , it was about them. I just felt like the care wasn't there.
