We chose this facility because of the affordability, the location because it convenient to doctors appointments and grocery shopping, and they had availability. The only downside of Somerset is that the building itself is dated, it needs some TLC. They do also provide a bus service that takes him to and from errands. One of the things I would want people to know is to ask if you want or need something for your apartment, they are very accommodating. I would recommend to others looking.

This community did not enforce mask wearing outside of the residents rooms during COVID, this community did a terrible job during the pandemic. They had a lack of attention to maintenance needs. Our loved ones furnace went out of week during the dead of winter. We had to continuously call them and they finally told us that it was never going to fully work. We would ask for them to do things while she was there, and unless we did them ourselves things would never get done. The management was pretty much absent aside from the front desk receptionist. The lack of communication was horrible.

The hall that my parent's live down constantly smells like pee. The staff is very welcoming. They are good about answering questions as well. The food is very ok; according to my mom, the food is lacking in flavor. They don't have that many activities, although there are some board games and music.
