My loved one has lived here for quite some time, and this is a VERY impressive community! The facility itself is clean, provides multiple levels of care, and all sorts of different activities. They couldn't be more accommodating when it comes to taking care of their residents, the staff are always ready and willing to help my loved one with anything he might need. The staff and residents really seem like a family! It is a very expensive community, both in terms of monthly costs and a large buy-in fee, but it is very high quality.... Read more

My wife and I decided that we would retire to Arizona from Washington State. After doing our research of a few Retirement Communities, we were almost certain that Royal Oaks Sun City was the place for us. We called and set an appointment with [names removed]. They requested our financial information and were eager to show us around. We arrived and the place was very nice, clean, inviting. I am White (a Journalist) and my wife is half African American (a Doctor). Everywhere we toured, all residents were White (ALL). The interview and tour was mostly addressed towards me and not my wife. It was very uncomfortable and she felt very out of place and unwanted. Needless to say, we left and never returned. If this is the kind of environment you are looking for, that's definitely the place for you.

This is a very nice community but it is also very expensive. All of the staff members here were nice and friendly. The community does offer a lot of activities and they have a big theater room to watch movies in. What I really like is that the facility offers a range of living options including condos, small houses, and apartments. It’s a beautiful place and all of the residents are happy here and are welcoming. Also, I’ve eaten here and the food was very good. I would recommend this community to other families.
