I needed a place for my mom after a hospital stay followed by several weeks in a skilled nursing facility. Prior to these events, she was staying in an independent-living studio, but on discharge was ineligible to return, and even ineligible for assisted living. With her dwindling assets, we looked at group homes as a possible solution. I have to admit that Roseview Gardens was a distant second on my list, preferring a location more central to Phoenix. I live out of state, and figured this would be easier than driving out to Surprise. I visited Roseview first (really in order to cross it off my list), and left that first visit with a very positive feeling. [Name removed] was fantastic in helping me understand what services she offered, and in listening to my concerns and hopes for my mom. My "first choice" ended up being the distant second, and I moved my mom in February 2018. My mom passed away five months later. I've helped my mom with her living arrangements over the years, and every place has its pluses and minuses. Roseview was different, and pretty much every phone call included a conversation about how happy she was in her home, with [name removed], and with the staff that work there. We all get a bit crabbier as we age, but she never had anything but warm praise for Roseview -- a huge relief for me. All meals are nutritious and tailored to each resident's needs and preferences, with everyone gathered around a large table to socialize. Residents have individual or shared rooms, depending on price, and the house is well laid out for everyone while at the same time feeling like a regular home. Extraordinarily comfortable and welcoming, particularly after spending time in even good nursing facilities. I could go on about amenities and such, but really, this is about service and genuine care. Yes, this is a business for [name removed] (and her staff), but I found that their excellent service comes from a true passion for elder care, matched with [name removed]'s skill and outstanding competence. I could not give a higher recommendation.

[Name removed], owner and primary care staff for the Roseview Gardens Care Home, is the reason we were so enthused with the group home. She has been doing this work for >20 yrs with 1 of her staff and the other trained staff are compassionate individuals (1 in college training for geriatric nursing). She adopts each client as their 'family' and works with each to adopt the home as their new 'family' on a daily basis. Our step-mother was (and is) very difficult and forms strong opinions quickly, often critical, and shuts herself off from others. [Name removed] has not let this happen, bringing my step-mother out for interactions with other clients and staff, beyond the 3 meals each day. Just a wonderful, compassionate person and we in the family are extremely happy with [Name removed] and Roseview, as is our opinionated step-mother!

My mother stayed there and I cannot say enough about this place. It is a wonderful home atmosphere with caring people. If you are looking for a pleasant, caring home for a loved one I would definitely recommend this home. A+ in every way.
