Brookdale Would Go Out of Their Way to Make Their Clients Feel Comfortable
Your loved one will receive very good care here. I would recommend that your loved one is properly diagnosed so they get the right care from the start. The staff were very responsive to any questions or concerns the family had. They were available and willing to make adjustments to assist my loved one.
The food was good, and the community was able to allow for the staff to bring coffee to my loved one in their in the morning.
There was a kitchenette in the apartment. The staff did the laundry for my loved one in a timely manner.

NOT A RETIREMENT VILLAGE!
The place has a lot of vehicles without tags, RV's, boats, garbage, too many vehicles blocking the streets. Admin is not monitoring who is living there. Too many young people moving in, and overloading the number of people in units. It is not a nice clean place anymore. Looks like a DUMP!!!!

The absolute truth
If I could give it a minus score I would. I have lived here for several months - WHAT A MISTAKE!! Can’t wait for my lease to be up.
If you speak Spanish this is the place for you, if you don’t you are blatantly overlooked. Maintenance only speaks Spanish, so IF you get them to show up, good luck getting them to understand what you need fixing. None of them are certified in anything (plumbing, electrical, A/C, etc.).
There are no activities for Independent Living Residents. The Activities Director got fired months ago and was never replaced. The pictures in the advertisement for this place must be really old because this place is very neglected. There are not enough parking spaces for the residents. Security is a joke as they are only there for a few hours in the evening but no one stops for them.

When My Mom Moved in it was great they had activities for the Seniors, the Rent was great she moved in paying $750.00 and her rent when she left was 900.00 that's a lot for a senior living on a fixed income. Rent went up and services went down. She had to move out because she fell a few times and her DR. Recommended that she no longer live alone. She had signed her lease 30 days prior to move out. Her home was full of termites. We found mold behind her bed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

Beaatiful place!
I was there for 3 weeks to visit and they have a lot of activities. I really love this place. Walking around and seeing all the people, they are so friendly! Not an evil soul there! It is a beautiful place!

If I would have known I could have done better.
If I would have known I could have done better. The apartments themselves are not very clean, they have a problem with termites, and I killed a roach today. There is no parking for me or a patio here where I can go out, If I want to go out, I am standing at the bus stop. I am in independent living here so I don't utilize the care services. They do a pretty good job with the activities.

There is always something to do!
There is always something to do, some place to go. I think it’s good for what it is. It’s a place that if you get the services that a person might need in their senior years. It’s very clean and the staff are friendly.

EXCELLENT SERVICE
My father lives in Rocky Creek Village and he is 84 years old and lives in independent living. When we saw his one bed room apartment we were happy to see how they had placed everything in his appartment brand new. The appliances, floor, cabnets, and it had fresh coat of paint. My father is happy and we know he is safe. The staff are supportive and his community are around the same age and they have things in common to talk about. I was lucky to have found an agency name A Place for MOM which told me about this place, and other places for us to choose from for my elderly father who is still very active. A Place for Mom gave me this service for free my father could live independent, loving and safe affordable community.

Really nice place
The only thing that I had a problem with was I think they should be a little more hands on with people that don't have experience of getting medicade/medicare set up, what plans to get to meet with their onsite faculties such as dentist, doctors, pharmacy, and etc... What I mean by hands on is someone with you to set all that stuff up until it is set up. I kind of struggled with that part of the process but it's ok in the end it all worked out. Everyone is nice and they took good care of my loved one.
If your in a spot and you don't know where to go I would highly recommend rocky creek village. They are willing to work with anyone and they make you feel welcomed.

Happy so Far
Moved in last month. We seem very happy with it so far. It seems neat and clean and things seem to be close by in terms of stores and shopping. They try really hard to meet your needs - personal service is great. We have gone to eat with him a couple of times. The food is hit or miss. When I ate we were pleasantly surprised. He doesn't have a kitchen in his apartment, just a room and a bathroom.
