Thanks for helping my mom.

I would like to say Thank you to the staff for helping my mother through challenging times with her health and procedures . My mother was in Providence twice and each time they helped her with becoming more independent after her surgery. They showed her how to depend on strength that she didn’t know she had. She was able to trust them with getting her on the path of recovery. There were 3 people specially that I would like to Thank for always being there when I needed them or when my mother needed extra help or attention.[names removed] Thank you all for going above and beyond. And When ever I needed assistance with anything [name removed] was there to answer a call , order a bed , do follow ups etc she was very pleasant and comforting through out both of my mother stays at the facility. [name removed] ,Myself and my family send our appreciation and gratitude. P. S My Mother sends her love and Thank you to everyone who’s care she was in.

When we first arrived there was an incident in which my wife had to wait between four and five hours before anyone checked on her. I voiced my concerns and everything turned around quickly. It improved a lot after this, my wife also moved to a private room. We were happy with the care she received after the initial day. I would recommend Providence Rehabilitation to a friend.

The overall experience has been overall very positive. I've been pleased with the level of care, but there are somethings here and there I've seen which I wish could be better, like following more closely to doctors instructions. They are very good and so far I've been very happy.

The communication system there is horrible. They did show a genuine concern and care for my loved one. The nurses were thorough and informative when you get them on the phone. They were good about taking care of him.

My husband was here before and had a good experience which is why I had him come back this time. They had him move to a different room and I don't know why that is since all the rooms look the same to me. His new roommate has loud medical equipment and the constant sound is bringing my husband down.

I think her stay at Providence Rehabilitation was fine. I know that she did really feel as though the therapy was helping her. In terms of whether or not I would recommend Providence to a friend I think I would but it really depends on their condition and the amount of care they require.

At the beginning my loved one was fussing because they wouldn't let him take a shower. Other than that, he has no complaints. My mother has been here once, and they treated her fine. It's pretty clean, it's nice.

It's a nice facility, however the direct service staff needs to be retrained. They have a lack of attention to detail and lack of treating patients as humans. I kind of have referred Providence, because they're probably one of the best in the area that accepts insurance. If you have other resources then I would not recommend them.

The physical therapy is not up to par of getting people up and out, and getting people to do what they need to do with the patient. There were some days that were skipped with me.

I know they are responsible for a lot of patients, but they need more staff. A lot of time they would take 20 minutes for them to respond to my loved one's call light. My mom told me that she didn't like it there overall.

The overall experience is not transparent. It seems unorganized as what is presented to us as a family, they don't seem coordinated between the staff and departments.

My review is from the perspective of being at this facility every day during my husband’s months stay there. Providence has a great opportunity to become a unique and top facility to serve this area. The staff—receptionists, nurses and CNAs were friendly and always seemed to say an encouraging word when needed most. that goes a long way when at the end of day all I knew was I’m concerned about my loved one, new to this whole skilled nursing environment and i just wanted to make sure he was being given good care. It’s a diverse facility which I liked that has a lot of caring staff—some of which truly have a love for their professions which most times translates to their care of the residents. Appreciate all the staff but want to make mention of a few particularly [name removed] who is one of the nurses there who always had patients care at heart. In my case she was attentive to every concern I had, gave my husband great care, but what was even more helpful is she stayed on me to make sure I was getting rest because I was always there. [Name removed] answered questions and helped me out in many ways. She was professional yet like a friend. And that’s one of the vibes you get here—most are friendly and knowingly or not —they encouraged me and uplifted with a kind word , or smile or just peanut butter crackers. Thank you [name removed] (Respiratory and really good) and wife and [name removed]. Good people for the most part. The nurses gave great home care training for me and my family as my spouse transitioned home. What I liked about the training is that they would constantly encourage me and my fam that “they will get you there” meaning get you to the point where you are comfortable to care for your loved one at home —and they did over and beyond. I pray they get more CNAs and nurses so they are not overwhelmed as that will translate to decreased level of care. There were some not so great experiences too but now understanding the function of a skilled nursing facility I appreciate the care provided and hope they continue to skill up and become one of the best facilities in the area.
