Tour of Noble Senior Living
I toured Noble Senior Living at West Allis and the tour experience was wonderful. They were remodeling at the time and the coordinator was great & very amenable. This community is very urban and would work best for those who would be uncomfortable in a suburban setting. It was also less expensive than any other community we toured. We chose another community because Noble Senior Living would work best for someone who's an urban dweller and on a tight budget or fixed income.

From the moment you walk in until you leave, it smells like urine. The building is poorly maintained and never seems clean. My mom has lived here the past 12 years and things went from okay to worse with each owner change. When they finally let me in to see my mom, the conditions were deplorable and she went without toilet paper for 3 days! She also had dried feces left in her carpet.

I would rate them a zero if I could
My mom has lived here about 12 years. It started off alright until they kept changing names and ownership every few years. They have recently changed leadership with a new administrator that has a nursing degree so one would think things should improve. Instead, I found my mom living in squalor after NOT being allowed to see her room in two years due to Covid. We finally came to do a wellness check and we’re shocked by what we saw. At the the very least, they are required to provide assistance with cleaning, restocking toilet paper, clean laundry, clean bedding, assist with showers and hygiene if needed. This has not been the case for a while now. We are very disappointed and are looking to move our mother as soon as possible.

Great staff, took care of our sister for a longtime
My sister and all of our family greatly appreciate all the staff at Noble senior Living and all they have done for her. Noble/Lamplight has been home for her for a long time and she wants you all to know she will miss you. She has to move on because she is now in need of more care. She would like to extend Extra Special thanks to... *[name removed] - for all your kindness & care and all the extra things you do. *[name removed] - For always getting me to my appointments, etc. *[name removed] - For your many escorts to my appointments, etc. *[name removed]- For all your help and caring...You will be missed! We thank the staff and wish you all the best!

Great Impression
We found ourselves in a situation where we needed to find my Mother-in-Law (only 59) a long-term living facility due to mental health issues. This has been a daunting process to say the least. I was happy to find that Lamplight was close to our home and in a location where there were restaurants/bakeries and light shopping options nearby. What I wasn’t too excited about, was some of the mixed reviews online, actually they almost made me cancel our tour at Lamplight. In meeting with Lamplight, we were very impressed and unsure of where the complaints come from, but as you do your research, keep in mind when reading reviews that each situation is different; and that family involvement and early intervention of needs differs. I think this is the case with many of the negative reviews. I can only speak from my experiences but: -There is no offensive smell that meets you at the door (this may vary from day-to-day, but I did not witness any and I am very sensitive to smells/cleaning agents). -[Name removed], the Community Relations Director, is a breath of fresh air and easy to be transparent with. She has been such a resource to us in this process. You do not feel that you are receiving a “sales pitch” or that she is looking to just fill a bed. She is very empathetical and a great listener. I saw so many residents approach her and have what seemed to be a very connected relationship to her. -The staff we came in contact with, including housekeeping seemed genuinely happy to be there. -The amenities are much like a long stay hotel with weekly housekeeping and a 24/7 nurse on staff should an emergency occur. -They offer 2 meal options, 3 times a day served by wait staff (how wonderful!). -They allow some small pets. -They provide medication management/administration and transportation to doctor’s appointments. -Full list of activities on a daily basis in addition to affordable field trips for residents to get out into the community. -In addition they have a “man cave” where people gather for football games, several different church services, a library and man nooks and crannies for different events. -Rooms are private with a private bath (no stove to worry about, but you can equip the room with a mini refrigerator and microwave if you would like). In addition, the room we saw had new grey Pergo like flooring. -Your loved one can come and go as they wish unless in a memory care unit. This means that they can still attend a separate day program if that fits their lifestyle. -There are 2 floors of locked memory care each that resemble the other resident’s rooms. -Lamplight is experienced with mental health patience which requires a certain understanding/expertise from what I am learning. -I believe Lamplight would welcome families to stay connected to individual’s care and want them to have an active, successful partnership in treatment if that is the family’s preference (not all places seem this open).
