About the facility
Nazareth Agua Caliente Villas

Stretching north from San Pablo Bay, Sonoma County is known for the small, family run vineyards and international wineries that dot its lush rolling hills and valleys. Sonoma is a welcoming city that moves at a slower pace than neighboring San Francisco, and the historic, two-story, stone building of Nazareth Agua Caliente Villa is bordered by a quiet, palm-lined residential street in the front, with the Sonoma Creek running through the backyard. The secure grounds with a manicured lawn and natural landscaping offer assisted living and memory care residents the space to enjoy the temperate climate of California’s central coast. Meanwhile, the comfortable, no-frills indoor spaces give residents a nice space to relax and socialize. With easy, supportive living, natural beauty, and a touch of historic character, Nazareth Agua Caliente Villas is the perfect place to call home.

Nazareth Agua Caliente Villas Services and Amenities

The attentive and caring staff help accommodate the needs of both assisted living and memory care residents around the clock. Residents can always find something to do, from participating in social programs to relaxing in a common area or bedroom with a game or a good book.

We chose this facility because it was good for the money and it was really close to where his wife was living. The room size was fine for him and what he needed. I would recommend to others looking.

Best Care for Your Buck
They are very caring and loving for the residents. They have great staff working here from the top down. The administrator is there all the time and she really cares. This trickles down and am happy with everything. The only thing I would change is some décor changes.

So far so great!
I couldn't be happier with the care and patience my brother receives at Nazareth Agua Caliente. [name removed], the administrator is there all the time and is hands on. She and the care givers are so calm and loving towards their residents and they work with me to do what's best for my brother.

Moved my family member
This place lacks the “skilled” and the “nursing” of a skilled nursing facility. My loved one was there before we moved her and received multiple calls from the fire department when she was on the ground uninjured but the facility couldn’t lift her off the ground because it is a liability. Oh...and they don’t even have nurses 24/7 like a skilled nursing should have, like the name says. Also, when someone needs help up just give them a hand, don’t call 911 because you are too lazy.

Clean but poorly maintained facility with tiny rooms and microscopic toilet closet. I certainly wouldn't call it a bathroon. If you are lucky enough to have a small sink in the bedroom you pay extra for that. The facility was built in the late 1800s which is fine except that maintenance is sorely lacking. For instance blistering or chipped paint, Tape put over holes in the linoleum. My neat- freak mother would have a fit. The staff are very friendly and caring for their clients.

The facility is unique--not the corporate feel, but more of a hometown feel. The staff is excellent, treating residents with total respect and sensitivity. There are physical challenges the old building has, but the the staff more than make up for the disadvantages. The price is also very reasonable.

I Took Notice To The Kindness
It has been wonderful for my dad and this community is a great a fit too. I like that the staff are extremely kind. The director is very hands on, he addresses any issues or concerns in a professional manner. I get a sense that he really cares about the residents. My dad is very happy, he keeps telling me he likes it much better here. I just really liked them from the beginning. I liked the feeling, it was bright with a lot of light. There are lots of activities. There is a good combination of residents who have sense of what is going on. Dad gets to be more social and active.

This place has a unique feel when you first enter. I never smelled an odor visiting 2 different times before placing my mother there. The staff of very well trained and genuine with everyone who they care for. I visit frequently and each time I do I am greeted with warm. I can see why the people the care for is happy there. The management to the care team are all professional and do an exceptional job. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a safe, clean, caring and affordable environment.

I visited several months ago, summer 2016? It is a very old building and feels a bit run down. And there was a noticeable odor right when we entered. This seemed more like a memory care facility. Units were more bedroom sized than apartment sized. Very small. It was more affordable than the Napa locations, but it would be 30 min+ drive to visit.

Loving care for my MOM
I want to express my deep and sincere appreciation for the loving care that you and your wonderfully caring staff extended to my late mother, Junie [Removed].  It is never an easy task placing your loved one in a care facility but your superbly trained personnel always managed to make her feel as though she was appreciated and cherished.  She made it obvious to us how much she adored each of you and we trust that her adoration was obvious to you as well. I do want you to know how touched we were by the memorial that you created there of sweet photos and tender thoughts of Mom.  That extension of your love for her brought us all to tears. We miss our mother greatly but we will also miss our visits with you and your staff, who consistently had sweet things to say about her and openly treated her with patience and dignity.  We always left with the comforting feeling that Mom was exactly where she needed to be at this stage of her life, a place where she was safe, comfortable, content, (well fed!), and surrounded by sincerely caring people who watched over her with the utmost of tender loving care. Gerick, please tell everyone there how much we appreciate their significant contribution in providing for Junie's emotional and physical wellbeing in the final year and a half of her life. Yours in grateful appreciation,

Not What I Excpected
This facility was the opposite from the others that I have seen. It is an older facility but looks nice. I felt that my mother-in-law would have a difficult time navigating through the community. I also felt we were bothering the staff which made me feel they were not friendly.

Not the right fit
The Nazareth Agua Caliente Villa was a very nice and well maintained community. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The only issue is that it had more of an institutional type feeling to it and we were looking for a home like feeling for our loved one. I feel if my loved one was in the 80 or 90 this would be a very good community for her but right now she is just too active for this community.
