One of the main reasons we chose Melody Living was the continuity of care in that even though it is called an assisted living home, it was explained that even if the residents are bed bound they are able to stay there. The only time they have to be moved to a higher level is if they need daily ivs, tube feeding , and things like that. Even end of life and hospice can be handled here. The other thing we really like is that when you walk in you get a very good feeling. It is beautiful, it is friendly, and the staff seem happy to be there and greet all of the residents by name when passing them. During our tour they offered us lunch and the chef actually came out to talk to us for about 30 minutes and he was great. As far as the food they have twice a month food forums where the residents tell the chef what they want and he puts it on the menu. There have been times where if the residents have a special recipe, he will actually make that recipe. My mom has had absolutely no complaints about the food at all and said it has all been wonderful. It has all around been a great experience.... Read more

I visited this location this past friday. I had a tour schedule and I waited 20 mins for the girl to give me a tour. She didn’t apologize or nothing. She was very pushy and not knowledgeable. The facility was dirty crumbles on the carpet and dust everywhere. My experience overall was disappointing. For the amount of money they charge I expect cleanliness and good customer service.

We chose Melody Living because she really liked birds and there seemed to be a lot of birds here that she could watch. The room size did seem to be on the smaller side, it was a 2 unit room and it had a huge kitchen and huge bathroom, it was just the room size itself that was small. The staff members were accommodating with letting me come in to see my mom during covid. I would recommend them to others looking.
Our experience was a difficult one, the people handling our loved one directly were very good, but they just had limited staff and it was difficult to work with the administration. Things were not getting done, requests were not being followed through. The care was not handled properly, we just had to repeat requests all the time. Shortly after we left they completely changed staff and management.
The community has done an amazing job during Covid and has really made an effort. The staff is very friendly, kind and work hard to keep us informed and up to date. I would recommend this community to others.
Great facility and great location to access from the east side of the Springs. [name removed] is very knowledgeable and helpful!
My experience rating is based on my personal stay at Melody as well as experience with other options chosen for various family members during the past 5 years. If Melody Living had been available for our family it would have been our choice. A severe auto accident and discharge from rehab made it necessary for me to find a temporary stay pending weight bearing status. During my stay at Melody I found all staff members (housekeeping, activities directors, cooks, waiters, waitresses, care partners and all levels of management) to be exceptional. Speaking from a business owner's perspective I can say this combination is rare and to be commended. You may check multiple locations in Colorado Springs but I can assure you that you will not find a better value for the dollar. Even the residents appear to be happier and better adjusted which I think is a direct reflection of the staff that cares for them.
My mom is there. Great place, great staff. They really communicate well with the families. They are just so helpful and accommodating. The facility is VERY clean. Activities are fantastic. Coordination of healthcare with the residents is wonderful! Thank you to all the management and staff!
We had a tour, but since they aren't open yet, I coudn't talk to a resident. Looked nice and new.
