The facility is good, the staff is very friendly. However recently the food isn't as good as it use to be but hope it improves. Activities are good, they have live music, bingo, and they take the residents to stores and on field trips, like for example the pumpkin patch as well as many more activities to keep the residents busy. They were super helpful, worked to accommodate my schedule, and were knowledgeable about their facility and the assisted living industry as a whole.

I toured this facility and it seemed great for independent living. Our loved one needed a higher level of care. I appreciate that they were honest about that and upfront that they couldn't provide what we needed.
The facility is beautiful, my loved one enjoys it, and it's clean. However, they've got to get it together when it comes to staffing and medication management. My loved one has been sent to the hospital because of them mismanaging medication. They have both a lack of staff and inadequate staff. Medications have not been given at the right time, and food was sometimes not given at the right time either. During Covid lockdown(s) they had to stay in their rooms while meals were delivered to their door. We experienced a serious issue with their ability to do that on time. Going down to the dining room is perfectly fine, the problems only occurs during lockdown. I'm unsure of how good their communication is, in regards to the responsiveness of our needs, as there hasn't been enough time to make that judgement. We are satisfied with the activities, which include movies, bingo, all kinds of singing and church services. They have a lot of things to do, so there's no complaint there. I like the idea of being able to visit my loved one at any time. They even allowed us to see him during Covid lockdown. There's no set visiting hours, so if the door is locked our key fob still works. We like the home, but they just have a serious employee issue. If he didn't love it so much, I'd remove him. They're a newer facility, so I'm hopeful that we can work through these concerns.

Manor Lake is a very comfortable place for our loved one and we feel she is in good hands. The location is really close to our family and the staff are wonderful. Every time we come to visit they make us feel very welcomed, they know us by name and know our loved one by name. We would recommend the Manor Lake Dawsonville community to others.

We chose Manor Lake because the cottages are a nice size and they let us have our Labrador. It has been such a pleasant experience, the people who work here and the residents are so friendly and the food is great. I would recommend to others looking.
