We chose this community because my mom really liked it. A Place for Mom sent us to 3 or 4 places in our area, but Magnolia Manor was so welcoming and made her feel at home so we chose this facility. The room size was adequate and she was happy with her room. The food she complained about quite a bit, it was not was she was used to at home.

Response from Magnolia Manor of St. Simons
September 12, 2022We appreciate you giving us such valuable feedback. We strive to meet each resident's needs, and your feedback will help us continue to improve.
My Mother lives at Magnolia Manor St. Simons Island and I am very happy with her care there. All my interaction with the nursing staff and the support staff has been very positive. They take very good care of Mom and I feel that all her needs are met. She is happy when I see her so I know she's well taken care of. I pop in at odd hours and I've never seen anything that I was concerned about.

Response from Magnolia Manor of St. Simons
November 14, 2018Thank you for taking the time to provide this positive review. Magnolia Manor Management
This review is for St. Simons Island Magnolia Manor Assisted Living "Cottage" building only. My mother has been very happy living there for 3 1/2 years. The core staff has been there for many years and have a close and attentive relationship with her, specifically organizing and maintaining medicine despention and weekly medical check-up. She enjoys dining with the 29 other residents, daily activities such as games, light exercise, raised box gardening, art club, monthly speakers and entertainers, holiday crafts and parties. She has the choice to go with the group off-site to functions weekly or to just drive for sight-seeing on the beautiful island and grab an ice cream. Tucked back from busy traffic, their large porch is a favorite with shade draped from live oaks and spanish moss or also their courtyard where she dozes in the sun. The family toured several facilities and Magnolia Manor several times. We all have never regretted the choice. I suggest everyone to take their own tour before forming an opinion or decision for their beloved family member.

I have no complaints about how things are going for myself since I have recently made the move into this community. The staff have been very accommodating to my needs and I have gotten settled in my apartment just fine. I have noticed a big improvement in my health since I have moved here and how much more energy I have throughout my days. The staff makes sure to take us to the grocery store as well as any doctor appointments that we have set. Overall I could not have picked a better living environment for my self and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Older, well established graduated living. Nice setting and grounds. Rooms in assisted living very homey. Visited with one resident who is very happy there. Staff and residents friendly and welcoming.

Dad started out in catered living and is now in the assisted living at Magnolia. The staff are very personable and meet all his needs. I think the food is delicious and he has gained a little weight. The community is clean and they offer lots of things to do.
