My dad needed placement in a skilled nursing facility but no other facility wanted to take him cause he was a bariatric and on dialysis. I found lubbock hospitality had on site dialysis services and they were up to the challenge of a larger man. The Administrator [name removed] went out of his way to arrange all of the stuff my dad needed. [Name removed] the DON made sure that every question I had was answered and put my mom and My mind at ease. [Name removed] the social worker worked so hard to get dad everything he needed to get back home as soon as possible. The on-site dialysis was so convenient for dad as it was daily and he could still participate in therapy. Dad did great and is home now, he told us that if he ever needed to be placed in a nursing home again to put him at Lubbock Hospitality.

The staff is very helpful when questions are asked. The food is very good. Halls are moped more than once a day. When asking for someone to come to the room response is quick. I really like Lubbock Hospitality!

Terrible place!!
This place is TERRIBLE!! It started with that they don't have phones in the rooms, so if you want to call your loved one, you have to get a nurse on the phone to go get them and take them to a phone to be able to talk to you. It also makes it difficult for them to be able to call you. That seems very sketchy to me. Add to that trying to call after 5 is very difficult to get ANYBODY on the phone. The whole place smells of urine. That's a good indicator that people aren't being changed when needed. My grandmother was brought there for rehab after leaving the hospital. She has severe COPD. I called and talked to the nurses every day to check on her status. 4 days after being there, I find out from a friend that visited her that she has pneumonia, and that they diagnosed her with it 4 days before. I then called the nurse and she confirmed. They diagnosed her with it on a Friday, but didn't start antibiotics until monday. 3 DAYS LATER!!! WTH!!! That could be deadly for someone with severe COPD. Over that same weekend the nurse tells me that they think that she might have a UTI and they are going to test for it. I ask on Monday for the results and they said they don't have lab services on the weekend(seriously??) and won't have the results until Tuesday or Wednesday, at which point it will have been untreated for at least 4-5 days. An UTI in an elderly person can turn into sepsis which in also deadly. On Tuesday I demanded that she be sent to the hospital. They said that were able to treat all of her conditions there. I said obviously you cant'. They sent her back to the hospital where they admitted her and it was confirmed that she had pneumonia, a UTI, and very high CO2 levels. That place is a death trap!! Stay away!!

Our experience was not good
It was horrible, I couldn't wait to get her out of here. The place smelled, the therapists that would come in were really good but the other care they had was not. She fell in her bathroom one night and had to get 18 staples in her head. After she left we found out one of the nurses there had been really mean to her, my cousins actually brought me up to speed on some things that were happening and I was livid. Some of the residents looked kind of ignored, I would say that when she first moved in to when we got her out there had been some improvement on cleanliness but the nursing staff would be on their cellphones, or just talking in the hallway, I even saw one push a resident out of their room and they hit the wall. Some of them were really really good and some of them were absolutely terrible.
