Laurel Lake Retirement Community a CCRC
200 Laurel Lake Drive Hudson OH 44236
Located on 150 scenic acres in charming historic Hudson, Ohio, Laurel Lake is a not-for-profit Life Plan Community offering multiple home styles in Independent Living apartments and villas; Greenwood Assisted Living; and Crown Center skilled nursing and rehabilitation. This independently owned and operated community is Summit County’s largest continuing care retirement community and first opened its doors in 1989. We are a pet friendly community.
For Independent Living in apartments and villas, Laurel Lake offers a Type A “Extensive” Life Care contract. Under this plan, with the payment of a one-time Entrance Fee and an ongoing Monthly Service Fee, qualifying residents may enjoy the use of a residence, an extensive package of monthly services, and UNLIMITED ACCESS to assisted living or skilled nursing care whenever needed in the future, at little additional cost. For Assisted Living in Greenwood, there is no entrance fee – just a monthly service fee.
This well-planned community offers attractive homes in an unusually wide array of sizes and styles, supported by top quality services, amenities, and on-site healthcare services. Laurel Lake's New England-style apartment and villa homes are designed around a vibrant 100,000 sq. ft. Town Center where art shows and musical performances, visiting lecturers, continuing education classes, clubs and social mixers are a daily experience.
Campus amenities include three restaurants (The Lakeside Room, Greenwood Grille, and The Bistro); a brand new Fitness & Aquatic Center with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and fitness programs led by certified senior fitness specialists, a 60-foot exercise pool and a 20-foot therapy spa pool; a unisex Salon for professional beauty and barber services; a bank, library, gift shop/convenience store, arts & crafts studio, chapel, business center, and more.
Onsite health services include a Wellness Center offering medical, podiatric, audiology, routine dental and counselling services; a Therapy Center offering physical, occupational and speech therapies; Greenwood assisted living; a Five-Star CMS Rated Crown Center for skilled nursing and rehabilitation services; Caring Hands in-home caregiving service; and more.
Remarkably, only half of Laurel Lake's 150-acre property has been developed. The remaining land is preserved as green space -- undisturbed woodlands, wetlands and rolling meadows -- and outdoor recreational areas, including three stocked fishing lakes, a winding 6-mile nature walk, two large picnic pavilions, public and private gardens, and a 3-hole practice golf course. Better yet, the scenic 33,000 acre Cuyahoga Valley National Park -- Ohio's only national park -- is just 4 miles from Laurel Lake's front doorstep. Laurel Lake’s fleet of buses takes residents on shopping, dining, sight-seeing, cultural and educational trips throughout the Northeast Ohio area.
Laurel Lake is nestled in the charming village of Hudson (population 22,000), listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Recently named one of the safest cities in Ohio, Hudson is a pedestrian-friendly town with a thriving arts scene, outdoor shopping and dining districts, and more per capita parkland than most Ohio cities its size.
