Very Poor
Do not send your family member here unless they can take care of themselves. Do not send them here if they have dementia or starting dementia. Too big of a facility and help is not given to all the people that need it. You will end up moving your family member, it's just a matter of time.

Could Not Ask For More
Terrace Place has been a blessing and this community works out best for our family. It is accessible to medical care complexes and you can book an appointment on the shuttle bus in advance to take you to and from the appointments. It is a larger facility which makes our loved one have to get out and walk to different parts of the community - this had made her strong and have more mobility. They have underground parking which is heated. The apartments are such great size, they have a giant bathroom, a full size kitchen with a full size refrigerator and freezer. They have their own washer and dryer and dishwasher. Cable is included. Our loved one has adjusted very well and while she was adjusting in the beginning the staff were very accommodating. There is always something going on at the community, we like that social aspect of it but the meals are more basic,

Terrace place is a nice place to retire
My loved one does not participate in all the activities but this community has a lot of activities going on for the residents. They have activities like bingo, exercising, singers, joke tellers, grade school kids that came in to dance and they also have happy hour once a week. I would recommend this community. It is a clean place and all of the meals are prepared and they have a decent dining room.

Great Place for your loved one
I have already recommended this community to several people around me for their loved ones. From my encounters everything with the staff is great and my mother loves it. Everything has been really great at this community and my loved one is transitioning well. The administration has been very receptive to any of my needs for my loved one or my questions.

A Good Place at a Good Price
Overall it is a good place to be. It is a nice community. My loved one is not a big fan of the food.
Some of the staff is really good at knowing what is going on with my loved one. Overall, there are always answers provided to my questions.

RELIEF!
The last few month have been very stressful as we gone through the process of deciding that it's time that our mother move from her home to assisted living. The people at Terrace Place have been very supportive, caring and competent which has been of great help along the way. We believe, once the transition is complete, even our mother will see that that there are benefits to having made the move.

Terrace Place Deserves A 5-STAR Rating!
1). Terrace Place has attractive surroundings both inside from the dining room, to the foyer, to the party room to the apartments - to the outside, beautiful flowers, gardening, pond with (2) two special mallards I watch outside my window and on my deck.
2). The Terrace Place Staff is so kind and patient they have very pleasing personalities and a caring heart.
3). There is a WIDE RANGE of activities, never a dull moment.
4). My apartment I love, a lot of space, a lot of storage.

A great place for Mom
Two years ago my mom made the difficult decision to move from her home to Terrace Place with its welcoming environment of staff and residents. Terrace Place Life Enrichment - Amazing Daily Activities for Seniors
Terrace Place has a very friendly, very caring, hard working staff. So much to do daily, I love the life enrichment activities, Carnival, Car Show, Music, Happy Hour, Bingo, Birthday Parties, Pontoon Boat Ride, North High School Drumline, Cook Out's... just a lot of fun. Wedding rings stolen and more
A couple years ago there was a bedbug outbreak at the Sheboygan location. Residents were relocated to other rooms as fumigation procedures were begun. My mother returned to her room to find $10,000 in jewelry and other stolen. Terrace Place then fought against being responsible. Police reports were filed but irreplaceable wedding rings never found.

A Nice Place
Terrace Place is a nice place. The food was good. My mom had a large room with a balcony. They have other floor plans. The staff was okay. It has been very hard not being able to visit due to Covid-19.

Terrace Place has a hard time keeping kitchen staff. Last night there was no one to serve us. No one on staff to bring the food to our tables. Finally they called volunteers to come in to help.
Food is inconsistently good or bad. Rolls are often still frozen. Chicken is always over cooked, pale and dry.
Our apartment is very nice. We use the laundry room (free). Activities are great if you have mobility and a good memory, otherwise no so good. Daily activities don’t get many participants. But there are some musicians that are very talented and get us to sing along. Also happy hour is well attended.

CONCERNED ABOUT LACK OF STAFF, RESPONSE TIME, FOOD SERVICE
Seriously lacking staff, which GREATLY AFFECTS response time. This is not a reflection on existing staff, but a concern for the quality of resident care.
Food service inadequate. Hot food generally comes warm if not cold when served. Residents are required to complete a menu in advance, however, their requests are often changed without notice. I am present at mealtime with my mom and the biggest complaint I hear is 'wait time". As some residents are waiting on dessert, others are waiting for the main course.
