My parents moved into Kirkwood by the River 9 years ago and I've NEVER had a complaint about anything. This is the best run and kindest retirement place anyone could ever find. The entire staff are kind, thoughtful, patient and courteous. A wonderful place in a great setting with Christian beliefs and attitude!!
This community offers a lot of activities and they do have entertainers come in. The community is beautiful. Dad seems to like the food and they accommodate his dietary likes. The staff are encouraging, friendly and we have good communication. I would recommend this community.
We toured this location when we were looking into options for my parents. It was a nice enough looking place, but it just didn't impress us compared to others that we had seen in the area. The person who helped us with our tour and interview process didn't seem entirely prepared, and honestly we felt she was much too young and wasn't able to relate to the concerns we had. Another issue I had with this location was that the apartments we were shown as options were located much too far from the dining room, my parents would have spent half the day getting to and from dinner.
