Our Experience
My loved one was previously a resident at Karcher Estates and she didn't like it there. She found the staff to be quite mean. She said she was getting scolded quite often and that they were resistant to provide actual assistance. She is now in a different facility and is as happy as a clam.

Review for Karcher Estates
This is the only place I lookedin Nampa that is totally independent. All others were assisted living the residents are really nice and I have a full kitchen. I took a 2 bedroom 2 bath apt. I have my own washer and dryer a nice patio with privaciy cost is about what an assisted living would be.

The community was very welcoming and friendly. There are some spots in the hallways that need carpet repair, which makes wheelchair life a little difficult. We picked this community, because there were only two openings when I was looking. This one was the closest to my home.

Look elsewhere
All they care about it is the $$$$. Food was bad, "care" was definitely less than, bedsores in less than 30 days of being there, and trying to deal with admin or billing is a joke. A couple of the nurses were friendly but that was the only good thing we could say about this place.

A very clean community with happy, friendly residents. The staff cares so much for everyone - working so hard to make sure folks feel safe, welcomed, comfortable and cared for. Many of the staff , from the community director, [name removed], to the front desk and kitchen staff are quite frankly angels walking on earth. They have made this move so incredibly easy!

Great Service Loving and caring
This is a clean community with great people and a pleasurable experience for you or your loved one. They have activities like bingo, movie night and have also installed a system for online church services. The staff are great and they have been very pleasant to my father and very clean caring and responsive.

My tour review
The community had really nice staff it was just not what we were looking for. It was not very clean and it was understaffed. Just not the care that was necessary for this type of living facility.

If you love your family dont send them here
1 star is generous but didn’t have a choice. Horrible place for any human being to ever be at. Continuity of care is non existent. Nurses and CNAs treat the residents horribly. They do not provide medical equipment to residents like they are supposed to. Management is a joke, all they care about is money. If you’re in the healthcare field and your family member is there they will try to kick them out to cover up the wrong they are doing. The building doesn’t provide enough supplies for CNAs to properly take care of the residents. A CNA was put in the social worker position with no license and telling everyone she is the social worker. She is not licensed at all and has no idea what she is talking about when she calls family members on the phone. This place needs to be shut down.

Great place for mom or loved one
We chose Karcher Esattes because my mom and aunt wanted the 2 bedroom apartment option and it was one of the only places that offered that. The staff members are extremely friendly and helpful. The intake gal is a peach. Back in October, she came out to my moms house and sat down with us and brought all the pictures and brochures and showed us a slideshow. She made such an impression on my mom and aunt that they could not imagine going some place else without her there. They just started a couple of activities last week and she said she is really enjoying them. The reason the lower score is on the food is because they do not have a lot of variety and it is a lot of the same things served. Overall, I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

Not a great place
No continuity of care. The patient did not receive medication needed throughout the weekend because arrangements were not made and nobody bothered to talk to the physician. Doctor appointments had to be rescheduled because transportation was ignored. The excuse was the person in charge was new and patient just had to deal with it. The patient couldn't sit because of the injury, the transportation ordered was a wheel-chair transport.
I really hope this place isn't around if I ever need care.

Great place to live
My dad lived in this facility for over four years. Most of his time was spent in Independent living. In the past year he spent about 3 weeks in skilled nursing and about four months in Assisted Living.
It took several months for dad to adjust to the change, but my dad grew to love his time at Karcher. He made wonderful friends. He had a two bedroom apartment, so had plenty of space and lots of light. He loved the friendly staff.
Skilled nursing was a little harder. He was needy when he first arrived and sometimes the staff didn’t arrive as quickly as he wanted, but they taught him to walk again and how to care for himself. He called it “physical torture” instead of physical therapy.??
He then moved to assisted living. It was so nice that everything was done in the same building. His friends from independent living had easy access to checking on him.
Assisted living took a little time to adjust to, after the years of independence. The aids administered his medication correctly and came when he called. The staff became his friends and he cared about them. At the time he passed away, they grieved with us.
I am not saying everything was perfect. There were small issues here and there to deal with. But the staff and management were available and willing to work with us. They made things right. I do not regret placing my dad in this facility.
