My parents are the LOVES of my LIFE so when they needed extra care I went searching for a place that was close to my house. As soon as I walked into Imperial it felt like HOME...they had music playing a cute luau theme and all the residents looked genuinely happy. I was taken on a tour with [name removed] the Sales Director and she had now become a trusted friend. She helped me make the decision to move my parents from Delray to Miami so easily because she didnt treat things like a "job", she treated my decision as if it were her own family almost holding my hand through out the process. We love the food, nutritious and also delicious and the entertainment is amazing- there is always something FUN going on, lively music or a show, fitness classes, BINGO its just got a great vibe. The staff is so sweet and helpful and my parents are HAPPY and SAFE! I highly recommend Imperial Club we are SO happy we found this little slice of heaven for the elderly in North Miami!!
The staff members and representatives are very nice and friendly, that was something that really stood out to us.
It is a place where there is no assistance, it is definitely completely independent. if you need help with figuring out how to do anything like fixing a TV, they will not help you. They still have the pool and all activities closed and we are still paying for all of the amenities. It takes many emails for administration to answer and no one ever answers the phone. They have provided no support during this time of covid and there is no community feeling here.
We chose Imperial Club because of the price point for getting meals and rent included was all within his budget. His apartment size is big, about 700 square feet. I do think that the staff could be better with communication to family members, for example they changed management and I was not notified and would have like to have been. I would recommend to families.
The staff is incredibly responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this community to others. The location was close to shops and right by the water also. Communication was very good between the staff and our family.
The people are amazing! Go take the tour and meet all the key players. Make sure that the unit fits your loved one's need. Make sure the match is what is correct. Find out who to call for when to you need to check on your loved one.
Seems like a great option! Reasonable price, no known COVID cases, and frequent staff check ins for the residents.
I chose Imperial Club at the time because of the affordability. I also liked the location, it was beautiful and I had a great view from my apartment. My apartment size was adequate for what I needed. It is a Jewish community and the food is all geared towards the religion. Towards the end of my stay here, I did end up having some water issues within my walls from the hurricane. The best part about the community was they had buses to take you to run errands. Overall, I would definitely recommend Imperial Club to others looking.
Imperial Club has done a good job with what they have during this time, but they have had to close their dining room due to COVID. We are able to visit for an hour. It is a perfect place for our loved one, she is very happy there. This community is very clean, and according to our loved one the staff members are very friendly. They have done a great job with activities even with COVID, they are still doing outdoor concerts while maintaining social distancing, they have little exercise classes with small groups of people. During the holidays they try and make it special by going to their apartments and giving them little holiday gifts or surprises. They do special things commemorate special holidays. Our loved one says the food is very good!
Very informative. Happy the virtual tour was something I can share with my husband back in Boston.
Imperial Club had an excellent reputation years ago. I had spoken to people that we knew and they had great experiences here. They have recently changed ownership and the new ownership seems to be more focused on the business side of things rather than the care for the residents. They have a bad attitude towards the residents and they do not seem sincere about them. My mom spoke to the residents who have lived there before new management and they said it is completely different. They are not going out of their way to help the people who live here, they seem more like a burden.
They are absolutely fantastic. I think it's the best place in the world. My sister lives there and I am moving in there, too. The people are great there. The food is good and served nice and hot. You sit at a table of four, but you are served individually like at a restaurant. It is near my condo. There are always a lot of activities going on.
Place could use a facelift
My Mom has resided at Imperial Club for a few years. At the beginning, the Imperial Club seemed to be a well run facility of long standing in the community and a decent place for seniors to reside. Unfortunately, it appears that especially in the last 6 months the place has seriously and rapidly deteriorated. The elevators are a constant problem and in my opinion constitute a very serious and dangerous situation. At least one of the elevators is out of order more often than not and in the case of an emergency, it would seem that there is a imminent health risk in the event of a resident needing paramedic assistance, etc. Beyond the problems with the elevators, the carpets are old and filthy. The furniture on the floors looks lie a "hodge podge" of mismatched second hand pieces from a thrift shop. Additionally, my mother advises that the quality and choice of food is also deteriorating. What was once a decent and comfortable place has now become a dump. Management should be ashamed. But most important, the danger associated with the elevators creates a huge liability/risk for the residents. At this point, I could not in good conscience recommend this place. It is sad.
Elevators constantly broken. Both of the two elevators broken on Christmas Day, creating a major safety issue. The food quality has seriously declined. My mom’s apartment has not been vacuumed as had been agreed to. There is a lady at the front desk who we caught screaming nastily at the residents on several occasions including today, when I called downstairs from my mom’s apartment. When she found out it was me she quickly apologized. The windows are so dirty you can barely see out of them. The management/owners seem not to care as these problems have been going on for a long time. No longer the nice place it used to be.
This place is wonderful. They are really good with my loved one and my loved one really likes it here. They have plenty of activities to keep the residence going . I did get to enjoy a lunch with my loved one and it was good.
Our first impression was that The Imperial Cub was a very friendly & well run place. The staff was very welcoming, the residents were interacting with each other & the place is bright & comfortable. They have an excellent dining room - the food is very tasty There are many activities to choose from & the transportation for personal errands & doctors appointments is excellent.. My Dad has been there a month & is very happy...
My tour of this community went very well. Everybody was very friendly and welcoming. The community looks great, it was just a little to far from my family for me. Other than that my tour went very well. The offered me a meal to try, and the food is great. This is a lovely community.
I toured this community while looking into care options for a loved one. The facility was well kept and clean, and all of the staff I met seemed friendly and professional. However, the community seemed more focused on independent living. They do have an assisted living section, but I thought my loved ones needs were better suited for somewhere that focused on assisted living.
Chose Imperial Club for my father because one of few locations in area offering true one bedroom units at affordable rate. Turned out to be good choice as the staff has been very friendly and helpful.
