Fails to give medication as prescribed by doctor. Med Aides not properly trained to take blood pressure. Parents fed salad for super, when asked where the protein and vegetables were they said they had chopped bacon and tomatoes in the salad!

September 20, 2021Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our residents are always our #1 priority. Please contact our Enlivant Cares line at 1-888-777-4780 to elaborate on your experience.
We have nothing but good things to say about Hopkins Place. The staff are all very personable and always answered any questions that we may have had. All of the nurses here are just amazing, they cried as much as I did the night that my mom passed and that showed they truly cared. I would highly recommend them to others looking.

We have had some issues with the billing, I have made payments that they say I have not made so that has been frustrating. I understand that they have turnover in administration about once a year which is something that I was not aware of. Their aid staff is really nice, they care a lot about my mom and have been wonderful to work with.

We chose Hopkins Place because they made us feel welcome and we talked to many residents and they seemed very friendly and happy so we went with our gut feeling and it paid off. It is a great place and we are very happy with them. They do seem to be having management turnover which makes me a little nervous. I would highly recommend to others looking.

When it started out, it was great. It was a very clean place. It didn't smell like a nursing home or anything. But then the director moved , and they brought another one in that nobody liked. They first director was very good. She helped explain everything and helped us get moved in. She assured us Hopkins Place did not have a nursing home type of feel. Then about a week or so in, the new director took over. She wasn't very friendly and was kind of snotty. She only wanted to let one family member in at at time, and we were just trying to to get our loved one moved in and settled while we were all there from out of town. It turned out he was not there long enough to determine if the attitude of the new director trickled down to the care staff or not. He would not abide by the rules and thought he could do everything on his own. He ended up falling and broke his femur, which landed him in the hospital, where he got pneumonia nd passed away. In his short time at Hopkins Place, it's hard to determine what a more long-term stay would be like, but it seems like it would be a nice place for those that can get around well enough on their own.
They “charge” points for things. 4 for giving meds, another point for having an inhaler. 2 more points if they have to check a blood pressure more than once. A MONTH. Another point for communicating with the doctor. I have no idea about the nurse practitioner or PA that’s there. Was never offered as an option to us. And 2 more points to communicate with home health. This is for a resident that tends to her own hygiene, makes her own bed, walks to kitchen to pick up her own meals and then returns the dirty dishes. Sound like she’s a level 2 to you?

We had a terrible experience here. Some of their staff is not trustworthy. Some of my loved ones belongings were missing from her room, and this was during Covid lock-downs. They had no compassion for what transpired. I had nothing but runaround from the executive staff after my loved one passed away shortly after move-in. It was just an absolute nightmare.
I would recommend this community I feel it is one of the better ones.

I have no complaints of how things are going for my wife since she has recently made the move into this community. The staff are amazing and I can't say enough great things about them. I am very impressed with the quality of care they have been providing my wife and think they are all doing a great job. Overall we are both very happy and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Can't say enough good things! EVERYTHING has been great so far. The staff and the other residents are so very friendly and helpful. Right down to maintenance. Super nice guy. Light bulb burned out? It will be replaced almost before you get back to your apartment. And the meals...really good. Clean? Could not find any dust even on top if ceiling fan! But the best part is that Mama is beginning to feel truly at home. And that's what really matters most!

My mother in law respite experience went pretty well here at this community. It was such a good experience, that she will be returning for another respite stay. The staff was courteous and very helpful. They did a good job caring for her and her needs. We knew she was safe and in caring hands at this community.

From the first phone call to the tour, I was pleased with Hopkins Place. The director was the sweetest kindest person. I felt like I wanted to live there. Some day I may. Who knows? In the mean time this is certainly the top one on my list.

They did a good job here, it was a nice place. I didn't have any complaints or concerns when we were there. It was clean and the staff was friendly. We just ended up needing more care than what they could provide.

We've had somewhat of a mixed experience with Hopkins Place. The facility itself is very nice, it's an attractive building and is always well kept and clean. The people that work here are very friendly, and they do their best to take care of the residents. The issue is that as of this review they are understaffed and stretched too thin to be able to provide the attention that some of the residents need. But they are working on it, so I am hoping the situation improves!
