The staff is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is done regular, and well done. Nice to have the bedding changed each week, and everything cleaned. I like having my food prepared for me. I would like less pasta dishes, but the food is good most of the time. The dining room is getting back to normal after Covid 19. The bus service is good! And much needed. My apt is comfortable. Would love to have a small swimming pool!!... Read more

The facility is lovely, it looked very clean and polished. We did not get a warm and fuzzy feeling though. The staff were not approachable and did not seem excited to help and the residents we encountered were not the friendliest. Just not the place for us.
I am 79 and the resident older or not active. Can't hear predementia. I like my apartment some of the people very cliquish and rude.
Very nice. Nice staff and residents. Tasty meals. Good activities.
I've been here a little over a year. I find a warm and helpful and happy staff. Food has improved greatly. There are many activities, outings - library, activity room, exercise equipment, a chapel, and a beauty salon. I'm very happy here and enjoy it ALL!!
Valencia Commons was the first place we talked to and we were looking for somethings quickly and they had availability. The apartment sizes are good and the staff are very caring and great with communication. It has been a good experience so far and I would recommend them.
Very good. I am happy to be part of the community.
I Donald are especially grateful for the administration. Staff and truly all of my neighbors at Valencia Commons who i truly say have grown on me. Thank you again for the opportunity.
Very enjoyable and friendly to all who live here.
I enjoyed my tour at Valencia Commons. The staff were very nice to me, and I felt like they really wanted me to be there. But the staff at the community I ended up choosing really went above and beyond to figure out the challenges and problems I was facing at the time, and they gave me a lot of help and assistance and stuck with me to work through and solve those problems.
This community is a wonderful place to live. The staff is fantastic and extremely friendly. The residents are very outgoing and willing to help out in any way they can
Our loved one will say they are not a fan of the food, but we have had meals there ourselves and we think they taste just fine. Our loved one will also tell us they don't participate in the activities, but we know from the staff that they enjoy playing bingo and socializing with the people at the front desk. We also think the apartments are nice and spacious.
Our loved one is not the biggest fan of the food, but that is because they aren't wanting to eat healthy. The activities are opening back up, and we do think the value for cost is good. We would recommend the Valencia Common's to others.
I would recommend this community to others based on my experience. The staff was very helpful and friendly and very understanding. They treat the residents with dignity and respect. Communication was good between the staff and our loved ones also
They do have really great staff members there, they are extremely friendly. They are starting to bring back the activities, the residents can play bingo and they have had a few outside people come in to do things with the residents. They also have a bus services to take them to and from places.
Get in writing what they say they are going to do. She had food allergies and they not taken care of. There were also plumbing issues and was told she couldn't use her restroom and had to use the common restroom. it took a few days to get the plumber in and get it fixed. The food served during our interview and it was good after we moved it was not good at all. I would recommend this community they have a great setting they just need to take care of these few issues.
My mother was pretty happy living in your community in the Beginning. It seemed like a good value with plenty of activities. The price would go up every year with no improvements to the facilities that I could see. During the lock down and Covid 19 the price remained the same with no activities at all. The food was sub standard even for the department of corrections standards. I feel that the residents were being cheated and forced to live in Solitary confinement. I felt bad for my mother and supported her decision to flee a bad experience. The residents were subjected to the Covid virus potential and lock down due to a few careless individuals who worked for Valencia Commons. What is going on with the management? Who is taking care of the food. I have many pictures of the meals served to my mother and other residents. I guess no dietitian either. Where are the food groups and vegetables that older people need? I am very upset and won't be recommending Valencia Commons to anyone.

October 1, 2020Hi George, thank you for taking the time to share your comments on our community. We regret to hear that you have not been completely satisfied with your experience with our community and are confident this does not represent our community as a whole. We generally have yearly rate increases to accommodate for inflation and to ensure we are hiring the best staff for our communities, all of which is communicated before a lease is signed. The local team has been working hard to keep our residents safe and engaged, while following all protocols to ensure the safety of our residents. We look forward to being able to better accommodate our residents as things improve. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please feel free to reach out to the local team. They would be happy to speak with you. Thank you
Very nice facility.
My mother in law is not happy. She does not like the food, they have talked to the management but nothing has changed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is clean and smells good. They have a good amount of activities. My in laws feel that the other residents are not very friendly. The other residents are not very inclusive at all. They are having a hard time with the quarantine and having to stay in their apartment. They miss their old independent apartment, they don't realize that they need the care. Valencia Commons has limited outdoor space for residents to use.

May 13, 2020Hi there, we are disappointed in your experience at our community. We aim to provide fulfilling experiences and appropriate environments for all residents. Our team takes great pride in providing delicious meals to our residents, and any dining concerns can be addressed in a chef meeting if needed. Thank you
My wife and I enjoyed the tour a lot. [Name removed], office mgr. was very friendly and helpful to give us information about the facility, the 1 BR unit she showed us, dining area etc. It gave us the feeling what downsizing would like. :<(. My said it would give me claustrophobia. The monthly cost, though appearing reasonable, would give us reason to "sleep on it" for some time. All in all a good "get acquainted session" with retirement living.
