This has been a very positive experience for us and our loved one. The community is very welcoming, social, and friendly. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff communication with the family has been easy. There are three meals a day that is served and the residents have choices to choose from.
They have a friendly staff at this community and it is comparable to an apartment living complex. Residents are fed three square meals a day on a daily basis. They are well taken care of . The only thing that I can say that I disagree with is that they should have somebody sit the medication out for the residents for no charge and not an outside company that is charging for it. I would like it more if this was included in the charges due to the conditions of the residents.
We chose Mallard Point because of the cottage arrangement they have set up. They have cottages that are separate from the main building and they are very large with an attached garage. The staff has been super friendly and helpful so far. We would recommend them to others who are looking.
The people that we dealt with were nice and helpful. I liked the cleaning lady. I only met her a few times but she made sure my loved ones room was fresh before my loved one moved in. My only complaint is potatoes and gravy was served often. Her room was on the corner and very pleasant. Anytime I needed help to get my loved ones mail, I never had any issues. I can't give them a 5 as there is always a need for improvement. The upper level had scooters and such in the hallways. They seemed like a hazard for my loved ones mobility issues if she moved on that level.
I would definitely recommend it. The place was lovely and clean. She liked the food overall. I think the cost was very reasonable compared to other places. She was stubborn about going at first. But once she got there, she was very impressed with how beautiful it was, the décor, everything about it
not for residents who need any assistance.
The food is horrible, the food comes out cold. I have to ask for condiments for sandwiches. The staff is young with a lot of turnover. I would encourage you to shop around. There are a lot of activities offered.
Many floor plans to choose from and price ranges. You can lock in your rent so you have no Yearly increases in rent, Thein travel plan allows you to live as a guest in any of their 230 locations for up to 7 days, including food @ No Charge. We have guest rooms our family can staying during the Visits.
The community is very neat and clean and the staff is very friendly. The food is great and we visited recently with the whole family and they made sure we had a place to have dinner with our loved one. I would recommend this community to others.
The help was good. Everybody there was great to work with. The food was not good. You didn't have a choice, and you got very little. It was a great place to live other than the food.
We chose Mallard Point because when he was there he did not really need any extra care, he was pretty independent. The location of the facility is excellent and the staff that we interacted with on the tour were top of the line, especially the head of sales. He had a 1 bedroom studio apartment and it was perfect for what he needed, especially for what we paid. I just think all around it is a super facility and would recommend to others looking.
Great staff Friendly and helpful They are doing a excellent job on the covid Checking temps and keeping the staff and seniors safe.

September 28, 2020Hi Amy, thank you for taking the time to rate and review our community. We appreciate your kind words about our staff! We see that you only left a 1/2 star review, is there anything you were not pleased with or feel that we could improve upon? Our goal is to have happy residents and family members so your feedback is important to us. Thank you
Had a cousin live there and now a brother in law. Have eaten there many times. Food is great. Managers and staff have been very kind to me and my loved ones. I tell everyone that it is a place to be when you get older and want someone to cook for you. Would like to see more active activities for those that like to do things out in the community.
Excellent information. Very informative.
They don't have 24 hr care there at all. For a family member that doesn't need a lot of care and attention, it is fine. Residents seem satisfied and happy there. But it is not for residents who need extra help or those with memory issues. My father used to be quite social, but he wasn't able to be social there. They don't provide medication administration or any services that I know of.
I have lived here for almost 3 years and really like not having to cook meals and eat alone everyday. The apartments are clean and the staff and everyone else are very friendly.
We recently moved to Mallard Point and everyone is so friendly and nice. The staff are welcoming and make you feel at home from the beginning.
Mallard Point is a great place to live. The food is good, the people are friendly, we have a fun time laughing and participating in activities. Wonderful entertainmennt and best off all I no longer have to worry about cleaning my apartment, and shoveling in the winter.
After speaking with [Removed] we were able to find Mallard Point in Cedar Falls, IA. Our Mom loves her new home. She has 3 nutritious meals a day and is interacting with the other residents there. The staff is wonderful! It has made Mom's transition from her home of 60 years to a new chapter in her life and new friends.
[Removed] did an excellent job giving us the tour of the facility. He was VERY professional and the facility definitely chose the right person for that position. What really impressed me the most was that every resident we bumped into during our tour, he called them by their name, that in itself says a lot about him! The facility was nice and would fulfill our mother's needs. Now the thing we are faced with is getting her to make the move. I assumed that was settled when we took the tour but now she insists she is going home. Are heading to an assisted living facility today so we will see.
