This is a clean, friendly place to leave a loved one
Our loved ones first impression of Heron Place was that is was a very nice place, she really enjoyed the food, they had a lot of variety to choose from. The rooms at this community were fine, and we would recommend this community to a family or friend.
Disappointed in care
Review originally written on A Place For Mom
Lack of proper facility management/care
Heron Place is a really nice looking facility. We were pleased at first then after several months the level of care and food went downhill. Snacks were no longer offered to the residents. Vegetables were undercooked and hard to eat for those with dentures. The last straw was when the med tech made a serious mistake in the medication that was given which could have been fatal. We were lucky it was discovered in time and our loved one was hospitalized. There was no RN onsite daily at the time the medication error occurred.
This all reflects on the facility administrator and corporate management.
