Heritage Point is a very clean community we have had no complaints so far. The staff members and the care services are wonderful. Sometimes our loved one is not a fan of the food, and if he doesn't like what they are serving they get hot dogs or grilled cheese. We have been so thrilled with the activities so far, they take the residents out on small day trips.

My mom is so happy here at Heritage Point. It is very evident how much they care about their residents .I cannot complain one bit about the care that my mom receives here and the great communication from staff. It has truly been a lifesaver. They have a chef from France that prepares all of the meals and they are really good. She has a specialized diet and they prepare it as needed, so they are very accommodating. They also have therapy on site which has been helpful. They have a sensory room as well for residents and it looks really cool. They have just been incredible throughout the whole pandemic and I would highly recommend them.
We chose Heritage Point because it was recommended to us and when we went to talk to the administrator it seemed like it was a very well cared place and seemed like the best choice for us. It is very clean and there is no odor when you walk in. I think they do a wonderful job in trying to get my brother involved in activities provided. My brother really enjoys the meals, they have a wonderful chef on site and I have actually had one of the deserts he made and it was to die for. They are starting to relax covid rules so we are able to visit for an hour in his room. I am looking forward to the day that I am able to take him out again. I do think sometimes that communication could be a little better from the staff. If I had it to do over again I would still choose Heritage Point.
The cleanliness of the facility would be a five plus, and the staff members are wonderful we have absolutely no complaints to say. Our loved one even though he has Alzheimer's is very happy, they feed the residents so well, they have three meals, three snacks 24 hours a day so they can get something to eat at anytime. The meals are well planned, and very tasty according to our loved one, they are just awesome. Everyone we have met has been absolutely friendly, wonderful, caring and loving. They make sure that the families are well informed of all the operations that is going on surrounding covid. They have a Facebook page where they are constantly putting up new pictures of the residents, they have a lot of activities for them. They make sure to keep the families well informed, and they try to including all the residents in the photos so we are getting to see new pictures of our dad. We would give them a 10 out of 10.
We chose Heritage Point because we needed someplace quickly and they had availability and were able to take her. We also wanted to keep her in the same area so the facility was in a good location. They went above and beyond to help us make arrangements especially since we had to move her during covid. The director and the lady at the main desk were extremely helpful and friendly. I got constant communication from them, they called me right away if anything happened or changed and were always on top of things and made sure I knew everything that was going on. We felt that this was a top notch facility, I would recommend them to others looking.
The community was allowing only window visits. The staff never accommodated my loved one with helping to guide them to eat due to a vision impairment. The community denied knowing the specifics I told the community about my loved one. We had to ask for all details of why my loved one had food on themselves. The community guaranteed the care my loved one was supposed to receive. I feel the community's only concern was they payment that we were making.
We believe our loved one was getting good care, but we just could not really tell because of the covid restrictions. From the outside of the community it looked clean, but we could only get as far as the front lobby.
It was very good connecting with [name removed]. He was pleasant and knowledgeable.
The staff is outstanding and they provided great care for our family member. The facility is clean and well organized, with several smaller dining areas and a secure courtyard for residents to enjoy when the weather cooperates. One of the nicer facilities and hands down the best staff I've worked with.

My mom is doing good as a resident of the community. The facility is kept clean, it is fantastic. She has been eating fantastic meals. They do get her out of her room and she goes to the main area. They try to encourage her to try activities but she is able to go to her room if she likes.
Excessively rude staff who offers no assistance nor civility.
My dad is settling in well here, the community is very nice, well-kept up and my dads apt is just right for him. They do work at keeping him busy, and there is a lovely courtyard in the center of the community that is secured and there is also a walking path for the residents to use. Dad likes going to the dining room and they even offer a private family dining area which is nice. I am very happy with the staff and the way they care for my dad. Eventually, my dad's wife will be joining him here after her surgery.
The care from this community. The Aides are very special and they have been very nice to my husband. I know that this helpful. The community is very clean and always maintained. I have had the meals with my husband and the menu is very nice and the dining experience is very nice. I like that they do not use papers I know that he is offered to participte in the activities from time to time. I would highly recommend this community to other families.
My mother was a resident here. I wasn't very happy with them. It is a complete memory care facility and I felt that I put my mother in an institution.They did not offer or suggest physical therapy to her. She wasn't interacting and was just existing. They would get her ready for the day and I felt she was just eating and sitting. They could improve the social aspect of things for residents to make it a better experience.
Dear Heritage Point Friends, Thank you very much for the gift blanket you sent. It was very thoughtful. I also want to thank all of you for taking such good care of my mom over the two years she lived at Heritage Point. Even though she could not always express it, I think she was happy living there. The following is taken from the remembrance I gave for my mom at her funeral Mass: The last few years, Mom was noticeably declining, as the years and dementia would start to take their toll. Through all this, with help, Mom stayed in her home, still taking care of it as she always had. Heart issues two years ago changed that, requiring that she have better care than what could be provided at home. 2 years and one day before she died, Mom entered Heritage Point in Mishawaka. She was no longer able to be in her own home, her being the stubborn head that she was, she took to her new environment, still able to walk with her walker until just a few weeks ago. She seemed to very much like the interaction she would have with the staff. The staff would comment to me that they thought of her as "their Mother". The hard choice to take her out of her home was made easier by knowing that she would be around such loving and caring people. I'll never forget this and will always be grateful to the staff at Heritage Point. You took care of my mom, and supported me in more ways than you can know. I sincerely thank you all for the care you gave my mom. I also want to express my admiration for what you do for all the residents you care for. It is a noble and wonderful calling.
