Very nice Rehabilitation center
My mom was admitted to Haym Salomon Reabilitation about 2 weeks ago. I am really glad that I choose this Rehabilitation facility. Thanks to the wonderful [name removed] from Admission Office my mom transition from the hospital was quick, efficient and hassle free despite of the COVID situation. [Name removed] gave me the detailed explanation of how the facility works, what services are provided and what to expect during the rehabilitation process. She also gave me the contact numbers for different departments and services and I've received the calls from different departments representatives at the same day. My mom doesn't speak English but wonderful people at Solomon have Russian speaking personnel which makes my mom recovery process easier. They provide speech therapy, recreational therapy and physical therapy to the patients and bring different doctors for additional consulting if needed. The Director of the therapy [name removed] call me and provided me with detail results of my mom therapy progress and explain what to expect in the future. Also because of the COVID limited access the personnel at Salomon provide the Facetime so the patients can communicate with their relatives. I am pretty sure that my mom in the good hands here. Thanks a lot to ALL Haym Salomon personnel for their hard work and care. You are the BEST.

very bad,compared to "Menorah"
We brought there father (101 Y.O.) for rehabilitation after hospital stay. Our mom stayed in rehab "Menorah" sometime ago and everything was good there. Here our father was unhappy from the first hour.He could not ask any body to come and help him. They don't want to help him go to the bathroom and he has to do in his clothes and bed. When we want to take him home, they would not let it happened easy, inventing non existing conditions,to hold him there and suck out more money. The worst insult came when he was discharged. The ambulance taking him home was not suitable for caring elders upstairs and my brother with hernia had to help home aid, though, when my mom was discharged from Menorah, she was carried upstairs by ambulance staff. Besides everything all rooms are dirty.

Terrible place!
My aunt is presently at H. Solomon NH[Removed]. I wish I could find anything good to describe the facility or the staff working there. This place promises more than it delivers. It is making high profit on the back of the residents who get fewer and more terrible services. The staff spends most of the time to get proper documentation so that the facility can get payed from the insurance. Attendants are not available when attention is really needed -> called to try to get some help for my aunt who in need of medical attention. Ringing the bell for help gets you almost nowhere-> takes a long time (hours) until someone comes. Try to complain -> everyone becomes very defensive. The staff is exceptionally terrible, poorly trained. The quality of care is substandard. Complete lack of professionalism! They are completely incompetent, uncaring, unqualified, and extremely rude as if they are forced to work against their will. I don't trust them when my relative is alone, my sister and I hired privately an aid. My disabled aunt’s condition got much worse, she became weaker. She was treated very poorly. This place is awful. Do not place your loved one at this facility!!! The Administration (including social worker) only cares about one thing -> keep the patient longer to get more insurance money. After my aunt is discharged, I will file a formal complaint with H.Solomon’s management and the Department of Health. Please, if you care about your loved one, avoid this torturous place.

Happy with it
My dad was at the hospital and he needed to go to the nursing home. There are not a lot of places to choose from in Brooklyn. I liked that it was nice and clean. There was no odor when you walk in. In addition, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. They're very good and caring with the residents. They have a lot of activities going on all the time. They do crafts and Bingo and people of all religions come in for services. When there's a holiday such as Father's Day or Mother's Day, they get stuff for the occasion. They have a big thing for the 4th of July, too. Out of what we have to go by here, I would recommend it to someone.
