I was there when they were doing a sing along which was so much fun to watch. Lots of people were sitting outside in front of the building underneath the veranda. The place smells very clean. On the 2nd floor there are enclosed balconies. Downstairs has a courtyard with putt-putt golf. There are reading rooms, wii bowling, pool (game only), a rehab-type gym, salon, art room, reading area, planting of veggies is encouraged, menu changes are every 6 weeks. Memory care is on the 2nd floor and you need to have someone with you with a code for the elevator that is scanned to get to the 1st floor. What is to keep anybody in assisted living just walk out the front door and into the busy street? The people there smiled a lot, there is a very busy activity calendar, many exits are all clearly marked, nurses stations are there and medication technicians handle the meds. A physician visits once a week, but not each person is seen by the doctor. That is more like once every 3 weeks. I don't believe there is any wait list. This place is one year old and I believe 75% occupied. How is billing the long term care company handled? Incontinence? Showering?

I love this assisted living location. Both of our parent reside at HC in Wellington and they are very happy. The director and entire staff are fantastic. They all work very..... hard to try to make all residents and their families feel like HC is their extended family. Unfortunately, some families think things should be 100% perfect in all areas, but no facility can be perfect. This facility staff listens and takes action based on feedback and request to meet the changing needs of their residents as best as they can. Our family is very impressed and love their protection of our parents, hard work and genuine caring they apply daily. Prior to the covid virus, there were so many activities available our parents they left their room early so they would not miss anything. Even with the shut down due to protective measures, the staff is working so hard to keep the residents active, feel special (flowers, balloons, flags, etc.), photos, videos and creative ways for them to keep in touch with their families. I especially loved the car parades and the bands walking around so residents could enjoy the festivities from their room balcony or porch. I could go on and on about all the positives about HC Wellington. Thank you so much from the entire [name removed] family.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
Main concern is safety of our loved ones. Staff does not enforce signout of residence. Often when visiting my relative was not there and was not signed out. Staff could not explain were the resident was. Did not seem to have any sense of urgency to find them. Director plays favoritism with residence who she is friends with family members. Would not trust my loved ones at this facility. Management talks about residence and their family in front of other residence and family. Poorly ran facility. Needs better management.Reviewed on SeniorAdvisor.com
